| If it were Muslim values/practices being enforced in schools and hospitals that get much of their funds from the government, you would be screaming in the streets. |
The conservatives do t even want a mosque near WTC. Even blocks away from the site. |
Not really interested in a mosque being built over body parts of those killed in an attack by Islamic terrorists on 9/11. |
| Yet, an Orthodox Church was not allowed to rebuild.... |
Why do they allow a church to be built in Oklahoma City? So unfair. |
Gee, who gives a crap whether you are "interested". No one needs your approval to worship. And I don't think there are body parts strewn several blocks away from the site. |
Conservatives are emotional, not logical. |
not sophisticated at all just the truth I am a Catholic. I am friends with many former priests. One is a cousin (in Rome, btw - next to the good Pope) who couldn't stand being celibate; he is now married. Another is a friend who is an outed gay. And a third is a former teacher who was a a priest for years but couldn't stand the hypocrisy. You can defend the church all you like, but until you hear the truth from some former priests, I don't think you deserve a voice on any forum. all of the above, btw? no longer Catholic You're the moron. Do your research. |
I'm sure the body parts they found were from other attacks into other buildings in NYC.

If you take a look at where Muslims build mosques and why, you'd see I AM being logical. http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/1496/mosques-on-sacred-sites-of-defeated-enemies |
OMG you are such a total dumbass. Thousands of years ago, we were converting pagan temples to Christian ones. For instance the Pantheon, or the Cathedral in Cordoba, Spain. And Hagia Sophia, referenced in the story, actually started out Greek Orthodox until the Roman Catholics took it over. It's so sad to see Christians who have to get their religious history from a web page. Didn't anyone teach you at home or school or church? |
That's me you're calling a moron. I'm not Catholic and never have been. It's your stupid humor, anecdotal points and name-calling that turn threads into cesspools of stupidity that would turn anyone off. |
I am Jewish. Nice profiling though
The fact is, Muslims build their mosques on places of conquest. That is undeniable. They have no business building a mosque on an area where there are bits of bodies of those they killed. |
This is essentially true of all religions. If there are no members of a religion in a certain location, there is no need for them to have a place of worship. Once there is a sufficient number of members of a religion to require a place of worship, one is built. One of the primary means of establishing a sufficient number of members of a religion is through conquest or colonization. For instance, there were no Christian churches in North America until colonies were established by Europeans. Hence, Christians established churches in places they conquered. Muslims have built Mosques in places they conquered. In some cases, converting churches which had been converted from temples. But, Muslims have also built mosques in places they haven't conquered, but simply where enough Muslims have come to live. You continue to display your anti-Muslim prejudice. Your support for restrictions on a particular religion is un-American. Given restrictions that Jews have sometimes faced in this country(e.g. unable to purchase homes in certain neighborhoods), you should be especially sensitive to such attitudes, much less have such an attitude yourself. |
| I would be against a church being built on a site where a radical Christian terrorist organization masterminded the collapse of the nations highest skyscraper and killed 3000 people. |
