Are partner agreements even for public consumption? Spouse, girlfriend, mother, accountant? Is this allowed? If so, why haven't people posted them (or their details) on the Internet?

Spouses should read them just to see what you are on the hook for (especially with regard to capital contributions, liabilities, etc.). They are generally boring documents - no salacious details in them. They cover voting rights, retirement ages, governance structure, capital requirements, etc.

Wait - are you seriously thinking he will get that every month to get to $2.3 million? Sounds like a year end distribution/ bonus. Some firms will pay 20-40% of total comp in the final distribution. I've gotten $150k distributions when the total is only $500k. Don't be spending that quite yet.

There are no year end bonuses or distributions at his firm. That's what he made in Feb. There seem to be a handful of others on this thread. I have no idea whether it is an emerging trend or an outlier. It has been trending quite high as of late, but this was close to double the avg. month. Would be awesome of it keeps up, we'll have to see. He works his ass off though.
