How old were you when you had your first child?

I had just turned 31, but DH was almost 40, so I was the youngest mom when meeting the other parents at our daycare, while he was one of the oldest dads. We hoping for #2 sometime in the next couple years so I guess that'll make me average for this area and him old! (Our first was an IVF baby, so we either need a miracle or an inheritance, but that's another story.)

DH was 28

Now as we hit the mid century point, DH and I are able to travel, etc. w/o kids in tow - it was rough in the beginning being the only ones in our peer group with kids, but not so bad now

20 for #1, my beloved 13 year old.

First pregnancy at 34 - after IVF but baies (twins) born early and sadly did not survive.

Second, just before 36

Third, twins again at 38

Thinking about #4 but might put DH over the edge at this point...emotionally and financially!

29 for the first
32 for the second
38 for the third!

Yeah, well the second didn't sleep through the night until 16 months, so it took me a LONG time to get over it!
