Circumcision - yay or nay?

You do realize that the urethra and the vagina are entirely separate holes? More often than not, UTI's are caused by e coli and that is from another hole. It may not be your husband that has the hygiene problem, just saying.

Yes, because well, let's see, I'm not an idiot. So yes, I realize they are 2 separate holes, but they are right next to each other. And so how would your fantastic logic on my hygiene explain how I never got them before and now get them regularly. Did I suddenly stop wiping after I crap?

Probably an idiot AND a pot-stirrer. I just have a difficult time even believing your statement. It is not normal for "discharge" to constantly be collected under the foreskin.

Interestingly, I thought that the best way to research this would be to find a study of men who had circumcisions done as adults. There is such a study, but these men were mostly doing the procedure to treat condyloma, a congenital conidiotn in which the foreskin is shortened and causes pain. These test subjects were therefore so relieved to be getting a circumcision, that their opinions on life before and after didn't seem quite relevant to the average guy.

In general, I think the costs and benefits of circumcision are small enough that there is room for people to make very different, but thoughtful decisions.

After all, most men in the US born between 1950 and 1980 are circumsized, and I've never had a single one say to me "Oh, sex, you kno I can take or leave it. I can barely feel it."

We didn't circ our son, despite my husband wanting them to look alike, because given that there isn't super strong evidence pointing in either direction, I would rather err on the side of omission -- that is, leave things as nature intended and deal with any side effects that result, rather than alter what's natural and deal with any of those side effects.

DS is two now, and we have had exactly zero problems with his penis so far! DH still thinks it looks weird, yes, but other than that...

Hubby is not circumcised, we have had no problems. We will not circumcise our future sons if we are blessed to have them!
