| Teachers know the scores the same day. |
Please consider opting your child out of testing next year.... |
Are schools supportive of opting out? I would assume th ed would be resistance from the administration. |
| Are you going to opt out of AP tests, ACT/SAT etc. etc. Your child should not have a problem with passing the SOLs since they are testing the bare minimum. However, if your child has not seen the types of questions they ask, then your child might have a problem. To tell your child that it is a grade for the teacher is ridiculous! If they bomb their tests, blame it on the teacher instead of the student. If the student doesn't prepare/study for a test, the blame goes to the student. |
I think they have to take a "0" for that student. That would be frowned upon. |
| Think about the teacher. Teachers have to set SMARTR goals. Schools set SIP goals. Many times they are based on SOL scores. |

dont opt out.
SOL have had a positive impact overall. More resources were given to my DC when they had troubles with SOL. Never would have happened without SOLs in the mail over the summer. |
| SOL scores at our school were given out to all the kids. They took home a printed copy of their scores. I hope they made it home! |
No, I am a AAP 6th grader and I took my math SOL today. I believe that AAP 6th graders only take the math 7 SOL, considering that we took the 6th grade SOL in 5th grade. |
