Freaking out - Brittany Norwood babysat my children not 3 weeks ago

Anonymous
Oh shut up people. She probably didn't have a previous arrest until now.

OP, I believe you but it's no biggie. I was abused by a caregiver and my mom has nightmares 'till this day. I don't remember a thing, I'm happy, healthy, love my kiddos and I'm not a freak who doesn't trust anybody. My baby has 2 very loving caregivers and I leave her with them no probs.

I never said anything to my kids yet because I believe they're too young but once they grow older and can understand life a little better I will tell them everything I know.

Anonymous wrote:$50 for a running t-shirt? pretty expensive, but not like you are lighting cigars with Ben Franklins ....

$50 but it won't look like it had a stroke in your dryer. Their clothes last and can take the frequent washing very very well. Much better than paying $12 every single time you need another work out t-shirt after buying the shit adidas sells at Marshall's.

Wow - a woman is being laid to rest today and we are debating the cost of merchandise at the store she worked at? Irrelevant and hardly what's important.

Even a background check would not have picked up on her psychotic behavior. Background checks analyze exhibited behavior and documented crimes.

Yes, this is a reminder that as much research as possible on someone who comes in contact with your kids is critical, but there is no background check on potential psychopaths. Both of these women were in my exercise class and I never saw any signs of tension, mental disturbance, etc...

Let's stop debating the cost of the clothing and what mistakes you may perceive someone made in hiring Brittany, and focus on what could drive someone to act so violently as well as mourn the death of Jayna.

Oh yes. All nanny's are on welfare. And btw, she WORKED at Lulumelon (sounds like multiple jobs if she was also babysitting). This isn't about her affording to SHOP at Lulumelon.

No, she said her nanny recommended this woman from Lululemon. So her nanny was shopping at Lululemon.

I can't afford Lululemon.

I am sorry you can't afford Lululemon. I am a nanny, make 750/week and I can afford lululemon! I love those clothes so much and buy whenever I need or want something. I don't have a ridiculous mortgage, children to feed though, so don't assume nannies can't afford lululemon.

How much are you saving towards retirement?

Have you heard of nannies with VERY WELL paid husbands? Well...they exist! Also...I earn 750/week but I don't run to Lululemon to spend my 750 in clothes honey, so I always have extra and disposable money. So...believe me: I can shop at Lululemons and still save for retirement (If I want).

Hope I don't know any of you in real life. What a pathetic thread. May Jayna rest in peace.

I happened upon this website the other day when I was looking at schools in the area. I hope my children don't end up in school with any of yours.

PP, you probably shouldn't move to bethesda or upper NW DC b/c everyone goes on this site.

They won't, as yours likely didn't score in the 99.99 percentile and you can't afford the schools or the neighborhoods anyway.

No one is saying this so far, but seeing the perp-they look like they could have been a couple.

Not Op here but seriously!? I'm sorry, but if I just found out that someone who watched my child a few weeks ago was just involved in a MAJOR murder case I too would BE FREAKED OUT YOU IDIOT!!! So really PP you would just say "humph, how weird she just babysat for us. Weird." and then you would leave it at that??? OP I too would be completely freaked out. You are not making this about you. If it happened to me I would have posted too just to vent it out of my system!

Why? Again, your kids are fine, and she's in jail. Next time don't hire sitters your nanny picked up off the street.

So what if they're fine? OP's not saying she's afraid for her kid's lives! She's saying it's shocking that this person is now involved in this huge murder case. PP it is shocking and I too would be stunned. To not be stunned makes you weird. And she didn't pick the girl up off the street. If she hadn't been picked up for murder you too would think she was babysitter worthy most likely.

NO WE HAVE NOT HEARD OF NANNIES WITH VERY HIGH PAID HUSBANDS BECAUSE NANNIES ALMOST NEVER HAVE ANY HUSBAND AND ARE JUST POONCHING AROUND UNTIL THEY CAN GET A HUSBAND OR MAYBE TAKE THEIR MOMMY BOSS'S, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
