Of course Bush was right about all of it. That is why Obama has continued all the bush policies and doubled down on Afghanistan. There isn't even any talk about changing anything now. Obama and the democrats were wrong and all of the whining and bellyaching was a disservice to the country and the poor troops. Bush surged in Iraq and never did much about Afghanistan, where bin Laden was holed up. Obama set a policy of withdrawal from Iraq and switched the surge to Afghanistan. "Same" policy, just applied in a diametrically opposed way.

Not saying either one was right -- the surge in Iraq worked so well that they still don't have a stable government, and Afghanistan ain't looking that swell either.

it's just ridiculous. Marriage is about children. The whole goal of gay marriage is to marginalize religion and biblical morality. Nobody ever wants to feel guilty about their lifestyle choices ( see Charlie sheen) so instead of trying to please God they just harden up their hearts and attack whatever they perceive to be causing guilt. There is really no need to have the institution of marriage without children. What gays really want is to have their actions accepted by God and to that I say "good luck!".

Joseph was married and he did not have a child. You could say he adopted. Abraham and Sarah were childless. They used a surrogate to have Ishmael. Only later did they have a child of their own. She had her baby at 90 years of age. Mary didn't even have relations in order to conceive.

All three of these optIons (adoption, surrogacy, and a donor) are available to gay couples. On top of that, the bible supports caring for orphans. So gay couples can absolutely marry with the goal of having children.

As for your second contention, that gays are marrying in order to subvert religion, that is plainly absurd.

Finally, legal marriage is only a legal status. It in no way makes any religion's sacrament open to gays. That is up to churches.

You're crazy. Marriage is about children - TO YOU. That doesn't mean that your views are the only correct ones. The only goal of gay marriage is for gays to achieve their own personal happiness within their own relationships. It has NOTHING whatsoever to do with God or religion or YOUR marriage.
