Were we as bitter about Bush?

I do think that there has been a remarkable animus towards Obama since day 1, whereas with Bush it was the cumulative effect of getting us into an awful war under essentially false pretenses, plus endorsing the detention and torture, even of American citizens, as long as the "war on terror" required it, but I am also going to try and keep it in mind next time we have a R president.

Bah! By that time, they'll have convinced America that Bush was really a Democrat.

Obama has plenty people to whine for him but fails to maintain any proper presidential decorum, what a shock.

Translation: Obama is a black man.

In reality, getting bin Laden would have been extraordinarily difficult. He was a moving target deep inside Afghanistan. Most military operations would have been high-risk. What’s more, Clinton was weakened by scandal, and there was no political consensus for bold action, especially with an election weeks away.

The funny thing is, Clinton actually hit bin Laden's training camps on multiple occasions, and each time was accused by leaders in the GOP of "wagging the dog"--in other words, diverting attention from the ridiculous Lewinsky affair.

So word of this single, semi-apocryphal incident comes out, and suddenly Clinton's responsible for 9/11. So desparate. Meanwhile, Clinton actually *did* keep the US safe from the sort of catastrophic terror attack that the Bush/Cheney folks so egregiously failed to focus on.

Bush never got the chance to "take out" bin Laden because he didn't give him credence as a threat. He was too busy obsessing over how to take out the defanged Saddam.

I would love for you to support your contentions with a link.

You guys figure out all kinds of crap to dodge or resort facts. NBC kisses Democratic ass all day and all night long.

PP here again.

Yes Lewinsky was ridiculous. Another lack of respect for the office from a Democrat both literally and figuratively.

Bill thought he was almost a Kennedy, as if that was desireable. They poked Marilyn and he had Monica. What fools all!

"Oooh! Why won't they tell me what I want to hear!! I'm gonna hold my breath!"

Anyway, I'm sure that PP's is completely unfamiliar with any of these well-known facts about the 90s. After all, history starts anew every morning at Fox News America!

Did you know that Martin Luther King was actually a right-wing free-market libertarian who supported the Vietnam War? Or that Ben Franklin fought to abolish the Fed and reimpose the Gold Standard?

It's all true! Yarrgle-Bargle!

Here's a thought-experiment: I wonder which Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, or George Washington would be more revolted by: Some frolicking in the Oval Office with a comely lass? Or authorizing torture of US prisoners by agents of our country? Hmm. War crimes or a little randy roll in the hay?

Anyone? Anyone?

Sorry to have confused all of you. The link about Clintons missed opportunity is there. No link suggesting the Republicans kept him acting has been presented.

Lots and lots of chatter and no links or sound facts presented. I apologize for confounding you. Please pass the weed.

We will bring a gun to a knife fight.

The Cambridge Police were stupid.

I won. (very encouraging to conciliatory discussion)

they will sit in the back (of the bus) (again very conciliatory)

Call it whatever you like. When the teleprompter is not fixed to his skull, the real man/boy shows. Sorry
