Heard some big donors are leaving. Also a few teachers have resigned shortly after Ms. Hosmer's departure. Probably not a good time to consider Mercy for your children.

Well, the pastor has been fired. The children and teachers will be happier and morale will improve. Mercy will be fine.

Really?? When? Why? I know Ms. Hosmer retired but nothing about Father John....

Well the Catholic Standard has published an announcement that Fr. Bill Byrne is coming as Mercy's pastor so you may have missed some announcements in church. . .

Our Lady of Mercy has rebounded with the appointment of dynamic duo: Father Bill Byrne (and his dog roo), formerly of St. Peter Parish and Principal Deborah Thomas, formerly of an award winning Catholic School in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The school has renewed energy and direction --the students, faculty and parents can feel it and it is a wonderful place to be.

Yup...had to hit rock bottom first though. Good luck trying to rebuild enrollment.

Our Lady of Mercy is absolutely unstoppable right now! The pastor Father Bill and principal, Mrs. Thomas are working together as a complete force! They are exciting and invigorating all of the parents! You can feel the energy. Can't wait to see everything they have in store for the school!

I do not know whats going on at mercy now but I do know that the school is fantastic in the academic side. The problem are the clicks ,gossips, snobbism and internal SAHM wars. Typical Potomac/Bethesda stuff

That's only cause these high schools have a quota to fill with all the parochial schools including OLOM. My public school son is outperforming your OLOM alumnus in one of these high schools. tells me OLOM has a long way to go. And yes, the cliques are just sickening.

These pro-Mercy posters seem kind of desperate to change their tarnished reputation.
