I think that the PP was saying she doubted the fight happened--not denying the girls.

Oh, please. Every middle school has different "teams". When a fight happens, someone videos it every time, and every kid in the school has seen that video by the next day. I had kids at another MS that was a split feeder, they connected just fine with kids from other elementary schools. Split feeders are simply not a big deal and not problematic.

I am a Carson parent. I've put multiple kids through Carson. I'm hispanic and white. It's shocking and stupid that the mouth breathers in this thread are calling this issue a non issue that is the result of white parents outside the school boundaries.

Every time I read this forum I get more depressed at how hopeless Fairfax County is. Some of you people are so hopelessly stupid and politicsbrained that I just don't see how we can move forward, and this is exactly why kids are allowed to molest other kids with no accountability, why young girls are locked in school for 8 hours a day to be molested by illegal aliens just because these people crossed the border.

And just to add materially - my child is in 7th grade. This dance was 8th grade only. She heard about this fight. I don't know any details about demographics. My child is in AAP and we have had many, many, many issues of targeted harassment, bias issues, and inappropriate touching. The administration does nothing. Westfield doesn't either. The elementary school doesn't either.

At this point I think FCPS should be declared a total loss, Reid and everyone in admin should be barred from being around children for life and probably behind bars locked away with the little angels and darlings they protect, the district should be shuttered, it should be split into smaller school districts, and the name should be changed forever. It gets worse each day.

The issue is that those at the top send a message to school-based administrators that they want to see "improvements" in student behavior. The message is fairly clear that you get rewarded for reporting fewer disciplinary issues, and criticized if you report more, particularly if students of particular races or backgrounds are written up more frequently.

I think it's dependent on the teachers your kids have. My kids had both some strong and some weak teachers at both schools. The AAP English and History teachers, as well as the Geometry and Spanish teachers, at Franklin prepared my kids very well for high school, and their reading and writing instruction was far better than what my kids at Carson got. However, the science and coding instruction at Carson was far superior to Franklin's. My kids who went to Carson were much better prepared for high school science than my kids who went to Franklin were.
