I want all three, but can only afford to hire one of these professionals

you haven't met our cleaning lady

True.

But perhaps your standards are lower than mine?

Bottom line: even the best cleaner can’t improve your mood if your house is a cluttered mess. They scrub floors and toilets, but they can’t provide the reset someone needs when they’ve let their home get out of control.

Oh you can pay a cleaner who also organizes and declutters. That’s not in my budget right now, but my sister does that for $400 a clean (and she does it weekly). She’s living her best life and says it’s worth every penny as a working mom with a baby and toddler and husband who works 70 hours a week.

Mine cleans like a Gernan hausfrau from 1950.

Sounds like you are projecting. There are excellent cleaners out there that are worth every penny. I have one right now and hired two before her for a total of 30 years.

+1. Mine makes our bathrooms and kitchen sparkle. The floors look terrific and no dust on anything!

I don't find therapy to be worth money. (Others, obviously, have had different experiences. I've tried several, and it never moves the needle.) If you have insurance that will cover it, sure, why not. But if you're paying out of pocket, you'll just feel poorer.

If you get the personal trainer, you might get fit, but you'll come home to a dirty house that you're too tired to clean. And for me-- again, YMMV-- a clean house is absolutely essential to my wellbeing.

This. Exactly this.

DP. Perhaps you are a perfectionist and would rather spend your time cleaning. A clean cluttered house beats a dirty cluttered house every day.

I would choose personal trainer. When you are fit and disciplined about it, it clears a lot of cobwebs and brain rot. The endorphins really help with mood. And since you are now disciplined about working out and your mood is better, putting away the dishes and doing a little vacuuming isn't a big deal anymore.

Therapists are a crapshoot. It's not like they have some magic solution to problems. But getting fit and everything that goes with it creates its own reliable momentum to deal with other things.

If you don’t have to clean your house, you can spend more time at the gym and the endorphins will help improve your mood. 😉

Hands down- house cleaner.

You will see immediate results. Won’t be perfect, but will be an improvement and take a load off your mind.

1. Personal trainer
2. House cleaner
3. Therapist

I still didn’t get to 2 and 3, but a personal trainer makes a tremendous difference in my overall outlook. Because of her I have the energy to keep my home clean, and a clean home + a working body eliminates the need for therapy.

To manage budget, you should join a gym, buy healthy food, use Gemini and YouTube for therapy and training.

... and clean house yourself by assigning 30 minutes each day to spread it out or just use a Saturday.

I don't want any of this but I want a professional organizer to declutter my home.

Answer would be different for each individual's needs and weaknesses.

AI lawyer here (for the AI companies). Do NOT use GenAI chat bots for therapy. They are not designed to give you therapy. They are designed to keep you engaged. Chat bots have encouraged people to commit suicide and harm others.
