What wildly popular show did/do you dislike?

I have tried SO MANY TIMES. I have even made it to Season 2, but there are so many characters I can't stand and also so many that I don't care about.

Acting like illiterate flunky crack dealers and gangbangers are all super deep and speak like philosophy majors at Hopkins makes it very hard to watch.

The Studio
Yellowstone

OTOH I loved Ted Lasso and Schitts Creek

I didn’t like Schitt’s Creek at first but people told me to get through the first season or just skip to the second season. It really improved and I enjoyed it then, but agree the first season is not strong .

big bang theory.

of those friends being the worst. much forced stuff that would never happen and it was just awful.

Also for big bang theory I know it’s dumb but even though they were “geniuses” they were working at low level college research jobs. Yet they literally ordered in for every single meal. And they were what, 22? Like this is not reality.

Like this is a fictional show.

Lawyers don’t like lawyer shows because they are unrealistic. doctors don’t like doctor shows because they are unrealistic. We are allowed to dislike/like shows for whatever reasons we want.

I’m a fan but this is a fair point.

NP. It's been a while since I watched it, but that was a big part of the appeal to me. You take a slice of life where you might not expect depth and give it the philosophical treatment, even if the characters end up being more thoughtful than you encounter most of the time in real life.
