What wildly popular show did/do you dislike?

Omg Ted Lasso here too. Awful

The Wire.

I have tried SO MANY TIMES. I have even made it to Season 2, but there are so many characters I can't stand and also so many that I don't care about.

Schitt’s Creek. So mannered and dumb. Hated it.

Big Bang Theory was so, so annoying. And the laugh track… ugh.

Parks and Rec. It seems like the kind of show I should love, but I just couldn’t get into it. 🙁

Survivor

Any of the Real Housewives

Skip to the part when Rob Lowe and Adam Scott join the series (almost end of the second season) and see if you like it then.

We probably wouldn't get along. I think Breaking Bad was Shakespearian the whole way through. Very satisfying. GOT made a mess with the last season, which was so disappointing. But it was excellent tv for about five seasons.

I have trouble with White Lotus. I don't give a F about any of these characters. Zero emotional investment. Upper class douchebags doing upper class douchebag things. I can find that in a Whole Foods parking lot. It's not riveting television for me, even though the filming is beautiful.

Funny, that's exactly why I couldn't get into Breaking Bad. I'm fine with anti-hero shows/movies, but I just could not care even a little about the characters so I gave up.

Not in any particular order;

Ally McBeal
30 Rock
Friends
Schitt's Creek
Big Bang Theory
Game of Thrones
Dawson's Creek
Mad Men

I'm sure there's a few more, but these are all shows that I was told about and tried to enjoy, but couldn't get over one or two episodes.

Outlander. So rape-y, damn.

30 rock
Modern family
Murphy Brown
Frazier
And every sitcom with similar tedium.

The jokes suck and are not delivered by comedians but by actors who desire to be funny but aren't.

Oh, Dawson’s Creek is a good one. I love 90210, the OC, one tree Hill, Felicity, many of the shows around that general decade, but didn’t not like Dawsons Creek. I found Joey supremely annoying, and I did not think Pacey was cute at all, though I think Joshua Jackson is really hot as a grown man.

seinfeld
friends
big bang theory.

of those friends being the worst. much forced stuff that would never happen and it was just awful.

Also for big bang theory I know it’s dumb but even though they were “geniuses” they were working at low level college research jobs. Yet they literally ordered in for every single meal. And they were what, 22? Like this is not reality.

Ted Lasso—so glad to see others here agree

The sex scenes in that show were SO over-the-top and gratuitous. It's a shame because otherwise I might have liked it. I have a friend who is obsessed with that show and can't for the life of her understand why I hated it.
