| It's about time the league is willing to stand up to the HOCO coach |
Har har. No indication it was that crazy coach since there are undoubtedly more.
|
Add in some BLC coaches and parents to those who will finally attempt to control themselves |

As someone considering signing up for club lacrosse for my 8 year old daughter, this isn’t not a great advertisement. Crazy coaches, barking players and homescooling to make time for more practice?
And now I just heard there are parents of these kids protesting the playoff results? |
I think the crazy coach was mentioned because it’s an anomaly. Barking players, endless practices, homeschooling is same. You just shouldn’t put your 8 year old on HOCO 2034 Black. I’ll give you that 8-10 year old lacrosse in a hot bed is a little bonkers in terms of intensity and expectations and commitment needed. What parents are protesting the playoff results? It was crap because of the schedule imbalance for the 2035s with the mixture of A and B teams—bottom half of the 8 are in only because of their lighter schedules than others—but had not heard anyone say that beyond privately. It’s life. Some NCAA teams are feeling the same way right now. The M&D 2035 team is who got hosed from looking at it all. I feel worse for Coppermine 2035 Blue with their schedule. Broadneck, Hero’s White, and MDU West also. All at bottom of the league and crunched week after week due to playing A teams. Those teams all get to sleep in on Saturday. Win! No one will care in a nanosecond which 8-10 year old teams made the playoffs or won. M&D will be fine. However, those crushed teams may have girls who now think lacrosse is miserable or they aren’t worthy of playing it. |

Predators played four top teams (they lost to them and also lost to playoff bound Integrity and BLC).
Relevant to the Playoffs: Hero’s Green is the head scratcher, playing just two tough teams (both losses). Still Limelight played only one. BLC played NONE. Integrity played two. Your playoff bottom four. I looked up M&D and Copp Blue since you mentioned those: M&D played the two very top teams who went 8-0 and 7-1 and then also Hoco who ended in 4th—those were M&D’s only losses. Copp Blue (B team of mixed grades) played FOUR top tough teams. |
| You would homeschool your daughter too and send her to practice 8x a week if she had the opportunity to play for HOCO 34 |
Totally reasonable, to be a part of the 90th ranked girls club and in pink/flamingo hell. I’d do it and I’m 42. #turnthefieldpink |
| NGLL is run by M&D. Maybe they stiff M&D to not be accused of playing favorites. |
|
MD and NGLL just cheated to get MD in the playoffs for the 34 teams. Doubt they are trying to appear neutral in the 35s.
|
You must mean M&D DC. How so? |
| Wow this thread is wild, keep it up guys! |
| Look at 34 and 35 playoff brackets. Both divisions had a 3 way tie for 8th, but different final standings. How? |
Wait you claimed an NGLL fix in favor of M&D DC 2034 without even looking up, understanding or applying the tie breaker rules to see if they were correctly applied? Delete your account. |
1) The unaffiliated SE Tourney app. applies the criteria and appropriately ranks teams. 2) Head to head is the first criteria if applicable and it was because M&D DC played and beat both other teams in the tie break. Fun conspiracy theory however where they would help M&D DC and tank M&D Black. Good grief. M&D 2035 lost the tie break because they didn’t play the other two teams and so it went to goals against. They had 2 (wow) more goals against than the next team BLC Blue. BLC Blue played 100% B teams, including 0-8 Hero’s White twice, to ridiculously make the playoffs over M&D whose losses were to MDU East 8-0, Rebels 7-1 and HoCo 6-2 (only losses were to top 2 teams). I don’t know anyone on these teams but top 4 seem valid. Bottom 4 seem gifted. That “unfairness/randomness” has to be unique to the A/B blend of the entry age. |
