Have you decided to age naturally, gracefully- no botox, etc.?

Not everyone finds some of these chemicals to be beautiful. Example- Personally, seeing nail polish on women grosses me out.

How would beauty be anything but a "man-made idea," lol? Bring back the humanities...

Yes I bet it does help a lot being Asian. I have yet to meet an Asian who ages in the same time frame as us mere mortals. I want their shelf life!
And it’s very true >> Black don’t crack. And Asian no raisin.

I have naturally dark hair and have to color it every 10-14 days because my gray comes in a bright, silverish/white color.
It is so exhausting having to color it so often but when I try to grow out the gray, after awhile I look like a common skunk 🦨.
Really!!
I recently took a six-week hiatus from coloring (to get my hair in better condition) and my hair looked so freakishly weird people were starting to stare as well as give me funny looks too.

Wait until your mid-50s and report back.

Different pp, I'm in my mid 50s, not asian, have no Botox and haven't done anything besides retinol and keeping face out of the sun.

And I'm sure people can see that.

Your point?

53 here. Botox (not a lot), Retin A and Omnilux LED face and neck masks. I also highlight my hair but not to hide grey-thus far I've only seen a few stray grey hairs.

I definitely would be open to doing a little bit more but at this point I don't want to spend the money or go under general anesthesia. Plus as previously noted it's never ending and past a certain point just seems ridiculous. I don't like the look of obvious "work" or procedures.

I color my hair but stopped using Botox when I turned 50. I use sunscreen and retinoid every day. Try to get plenty of sleep. Took a less stressful job. But time catches up with all of us!

I’m tired of it, never ending. I’ve decided to age naturally, wrinkles and all. It will be tough, all my friends are sculpted.

Anyone else tired of beautifying?

Late 59 and never started all that, so don't have to stop. Am aging 100% au natural, and will do so as gracefully as possible

I got Botox / Dysport for about 6 years but honestly I found it had diminishing returns after doing it for so long. I was also sick of spending $800 every 12 weeks because it wears off so fast. It just isn’t sustainable long term

I used tretinoin, basic moisturizers, and sunscreen every day. Late spring - fall, I wear hats that shield my face. My hair’s light, so the white strands don’t show very much. Mid 50s. Won’t do anything else, except maybe topical minoxidil as I’ve noticed a bit of thinning near my temples.

I do have crow's feet around my eyes when I smile but I just don't want to get started on this slippery slope. My mom aged naturally and doesn't do anything except dye her hair.

You haven’t reached an age yet where you have started looking “old.” Wait till you hit mid 50’s.

Fair enough, but I get asked this because I look a lot younger than I am. Even people in their teens and 30s think I am in my 20s, that's why.

I did too! Things started to age on me mid 60's. Collagen and hair thinning. Plus eyelid and neck sagging. Nothing lasts forever. I won't give up the hair dye but doubtful I'll do anything else unless I can't see past the saggy eyelids anymore.

Does the tretinoin help? I have not noticed a difference for me.

I know a lot of Asian women who are older than 60 yet you'd think they were in their 40s. I know one woman who has to be almost 70 and yet people still mistake her for late 30s. They are definitely past menopause.

I’ve been using it for almost 10 years. I recall that after the first month, all the awful peri menopausal acne cleared up. And I don’t know what my face would look like without it, to be honest. But the texture is nice and smooth, and wrinkles seem minimal to those of some friends my age. I have expression lines but they’re not harsh. I grew up on a beach, so I’d expect my skin to look worse after so many sunburns and sun blisters.

I won't touch botox or fillers. People think it looks good, but it doesn't, and it ages you faster in the long run (muscle atrophy, migrating stuff, constantly playing whack-a-mole with it, etc). I am a bit crazy about avoiding the sun and using really good skincare.

I will say, if I could get Emma Stone's doctor to give me a lower facelift, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but that's not in the cards I guess.

Yeah I work with all Asian women, the 30 something’s look like teens, the 40 something’s look 30 something, and the older ones all look exactly their age.
