Exactly this. The Dems don’t actually stand for anything constructive and concrete. You can’t just say I’m not Trump, that’s not going to work. Hillary tried that and lost. What will you do different from Trump, be specific, no platitudes.

There are plenty of Democrats (not all of them by any means, but many) who have taken an articulate and courageous stand. If you haven't noticed you are not paying attention.

Unfortunately, if the supposed "Dems" on this thread are to be believed (I have my doubts), the truth is that Dems have plenty of policies, but they need to repackage them in new messaging that can reach the absolute morons like the people on this thread. Some of them are talking about Hillary and Harris as though that is relevant, which makes me think they are just trolls.

But either way, the American public has shown itself to be really, really ignorant. Only ignorant rubes would have voted for Trump a second time. Frankly, they had to be pretty stupid to vote for him the first time. Anyone with critical thinking skills has always known he is unfit on every level. Dems have to use emotional and catchy BS to get voters' attention so they can implement the policies that would actually help these stupid morons who always vote against themselves.

As Pod Save America put it, Dems have good policies, but no communications and Republicans have good communications with no policies.

Sitting at the televised State of the Union to support illegal immigrants over American citizens wasn’t a good look.

lol you still think Republicans’ immigration policies will help them avoid disaster this fall?

DP. Not sure. As horrible as the events in MN were, at the end of the day, the border is much more secure and the fire hose of immigration has been shut off. DHS has a new secretary who might not be as inflammatory or tell as many lies as the one he replaced.
What do Dems offer?
They are still the party of illegal immigration and men playing women’s sports. This is going to be hard to shake off. People will start paying attention if things get bad for them as individuals, which isn’t necessarily happening in most of the country.

These are Bullsh-- talking points. The only ones talking aout men playing in womens' sports are repubs and meagerly talented athletes like Riley Gaines (Btw, if you don't know much about her, you should google it. Her evolution from "I don't blame the other athlete" to complete victim is remarkable. And coincides to the large networth she now has as a result of MAGA donors).

Dems are also not a party of "illegal immigrants" but of a more humane immigration party. But you know that.
And what you fail to acknowledge is that decades of presidents - INCLUDED R's- have failed to get a hold of the immigration issue. So, yeah, these are talking points. And nothing substantive.

But that message doesn't come across that way, and when Biden allowed in hundreds of thousands of economic refugees giving them hotel rooms, visa cash cards... that was not a good look.

And then there was the Humanitarian Parole Program (CHNV): Launched in January 2023, this program allowed up to 30,000 migrants per month from Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti, and Nicaragua to enter the U.S. legally, provided they had a sponsor and passed background checks. Over 600K people were allowed in, and this went on until Jan 2025.

Rs hammered this in the media all while Americans were struggling paying for groceries, housing. This is why Americans think Dems care more about "refugees" than Americans, and that Dems are the party of illegal immigrants (though I know refugees are not illegally here).

Dems need to change their stance on refugees and illegal immigrants, and push that message non stop.

Seems like they keep winning elections ever since Trump went full Nazi, so maybe they don’t.

Haven't Dems flipped something like 27 seats since the last federal election, and Repubs at 0? Huh. That's not really consistent with what's being shoveled here.

Reality seems to be resisting someone's tall tale about it.

Many of the ones winning are PROGRESSIVE...aka in no way, shape or form a reflection of the establishment Dem AIPAC trash like Schumer and Jefferies who both need to GTFO. Put Mamdani up against those two trashbags who didn't even really endorse him ("vote blue no matter who...unless they aren't up Isr's a$$") and see who wins. Dems need a house cleaning. No one who isn't genocidal scum like Chuck, wants a single politician who serves israel.

That's because of Trump's stupidity and his Gestapo, not because Dems have gotten better at their messaging or getting it out.

I 100% agree with this poll.

Democrats as in the Democratic Party, leadership like Chuck Schumer, are worthless and cringe. They are the party of “strongly worded letters.” The GOP is slightly less unpopular because they stand for something. Yes, they stand for bad things, which means that (bad) people who like bad things will like the party that stands for those bad things. The Democratic Party establishment stands for nothing at all.

There are three types of Democrats and only one is popular.
Establishment geriatric Democrats like Schumer, Clyburn, Hoyer, etc, the party leadership that favors seniority and waiting your turn, that still caves to donors and being pro-Israel, etc.
Progressives that latch onto the annoying woke-scold identity politics, sadly AOC is one of these people.
And populists, that don’t do the woke purity tests but will be bold progressives on issues that matter (war, affordability, inequality) and will find bipartisan support on these issues. People like Ro Khanna, and hopefully Graham Platner if he wins in Maine. Bernie Sanders as old as he is, is still popular and is in this category.

DP: “Democrats “ is on the list but “Republicans” is not — although there are individuals on the list who are Republican. It’s unclear whether this is an omission by the OP or by the originators of the poll.

PP, I won’t speculate about your medical issues, but you might want to take your own advice and : Read the list again.
