Would Americans rather have Medicare for All or pay for war?

I got homless people sleeping in their cars at shopping centers in my neighborhood, 70yr olds working at Walmart, millions w/o health insurance.

We could have had free Universal Healthcare like most developed countries by now. Common man. Really frustrating.

Why do you have homeless people sleeping in cars in your neighborhood.

One salient FACT: it costs 17 billion dollars EVERY DAY to run the federal government. It has for the last few years.

Where is the money going?

Social Security (22%), health services/Medicare (26%), and defense (13%)

Social security does not really add to the deficit. Benefit payments are funded entirely by employment taxes. The only portion that is funded by the government (not through payroll taxes) is the budget for the social security agency, which is 14.8 billion. That amounts to only $212 of administrative spending per beneficiary.

U.S. State Department said on Friday it has approved a sale worth $151.8 million to Israel for munitions and ‌munitions support, without submitting it for congressional review.

If I was Taiwan officials I would be beyond pissed and very afraid. Taiwan ordered a $32 billion dollars weapons deal and prepaid about $11 billion and won't receive any of these weapons for years due to the backlog. Israel doesn't have to expend Israeli funds and gets their weapons immediately on the US taxpayer dime.

For to put that amount of money into some context.

In 2024 the U.S. sent to Israel $17,900,000,000.
That could instead fund one of the following:

11,222,570 Households with one month's free rent

37,664,387 Families with one month's free groceries

6,228,253 Children's free or low-cost healthcare for one year

195,440 Elementary school teachers' salaries for one year

50,960,854 Households with solar electricity produced for a year

473,707 Students with their loan debt.

Hakeem Jeffries, master of reading the room, won't commit to blocking additional Iran war funding

Looks like AIPAC told him Israel's going to need more funding soon.

Yeah, come on, Trump has only killed seven service members in his Trump war. Those are rookie numbers!

WTAF! If I ever hear a MAGA/GOP say they are fiscally conservative I will scream!

If you are truly a fiscal conservative, you are a Dem. And don’t even try to say that welfare programs costs us….

Actually it’s $200 billion
Anonymous
The Dems should tell Trump to take the $200B out of the ICE budget.

If we are spending a billion a day on this war, do the math as to when it could be ending.
Anonymous
Just have to say no. No more money for this war.
