PV Drama impacting results?

This thread is another example of why swim parent culture is so ugly.

I agree. I don’t understand why the old webmaster was replaced as I thought the website was well-run and results were postly quickly. However bringing up the new webmaster’s kids is extremely messed up. I hope that does not happen again.

The people judging the timeliness of posting these results and the webmaster’s exercise habits should be so embarrassed. Of course they won’t be, but they should.

My guess is that it was a quick google and this person has really put themselves out there on the topic - exhibited themself so to speak.

That is a reminder to everyone to google themselves and see the digital footprint that they left. Being a webmaster, this person should know this and apparently does not mind it being out there for all to see.

Being a webmaster does not excuse these swim parents for their ugly comments about this person. I have no idea about the switchover or whether the old or new person is good, but some of the comments on here are just ugly about the new person. Shameful.

This is part of the reason I gave up volunteering, and something I discuss with my kids in leadership roles. There are always people to complain about how you do things, even when you are giving up family time, etc to do them, and they couldn't be bothered. Some of the commenters here really need to look at themselves.

So not a volunteer role - paid position.

I agree that with volunteers we should be more understanding. But also agree with the sentiment you should not volunteer and overextend yourself so you cannot do it. If a volunteer takes a day or two to do something - fine. But this was a paid employee who had not done their job in a week and a half. That is slightly different. Adding that the prior webmaster did a very good job and the site is one of the best LSC sites on the East Coast.

Ok, didn't realize it was paid. I still stand by the fact that people are using ugly language to talk about a new person to the job and assuming why things aren't being done. Perhaps a learning curve? Could it be the fault of those that let the previous person go without having a good way to train the new person. What are PVS expectations on result posting. Many unanswered questions and meanwhile people are discussing this woman's children. Disgusting

Results from Machine Qualifier last weekend still aren’t up.

Did Machine post the file or send it to PVS or let PVS know where it is posted? this isn't necessarily on PVS, maybe, but not necessarily

I asked Paris. They were sent to PVS and participating teams on Sunday at the end of the meet before leaving the St. James.

Also, any meet sanctioned by PVS is required to send the result file and PDF to PVS within 24 hours of the meet conclusion. That’s why the old webmaster has them up quickly. He did the job to get them posted.

Would you like the link to the multi page threads exactly complaining that he DIDN'T do that? "The host must post" or some such nonsense? I get that you don't like this new person (or are the old person) but knock it off. It is reasonable to have a learning curve and there have always been some meets that took longer for unknown reasons

“The host needs to Post” get it right

That is absolutely ridiculous. Seriously. The old webmaster got crap for being a few days late - like Wednesday. This one is taking weeks. PVS did a great choice in choosing someone worse to hire. What a joke.

It is up? And ended five days ago, so could never have been "weeks"?

Ugly, yes. Pathetic, sad, and laughable is a more accurate assessment.

I just keep hoping the poster that is so outraged is trolling and not actually this unhinged.
