The webpage apparently stopped doing what it should be doing, when they fired the last guy.

Yep. I imagine he is thinking, "I told you so!"

But we are also just talking about basic web updating. It would be a few minutes of time. My 12 year old can do it without batting an eye. This is now a paid employee who doesn't seem to have time to do the job. I am now going to have to look every day to see how long this is going to take them. Not off to an impressive start. PVS probably hired some spouse of someone on the board, instead of someone with an actual skill set.

The old person was a retired empty nester and PVS/swimming was his 40 hour a week hobby. The new person is a working mom and as everybody here should know that means almost zero free time. I think we all need to calm down and accept the new state of things where the website will probably only be updated a few times a month.

But why replace someone who had the time to do the job well with someone who doesn’t have time to do it?

This is coming from a working mom. That is a BS statement. Seriously. Grow up. We need to stop excusing people overextending themselves and because they start failing we are told to show them GRACE.

Don't take on more than you can handle. PERIOD.

This persons crappy work ethic and need to be part of things should not make others wait. Don't take the job. Don't take a volunteer position if you are going to crap the bed. They have not done their job in over a week.

Agreed. Someone did th job well. Now we replace them with someone not even doing the job.

I know some want it posted, some don't and various people have various proposals for standardizing things going forward.

All the same, for the moment people should be able to find whatever results they are seeking on meet mobile, right?

No, PVS had gone back to publishing the meet files with the DOBs not included. And even during the time they weren’t posting meet files they still published PDF results.

Huh?

A joke, like an unattached swimmer when they switch teams.

This. The work simply has not been touched in over a week.

Anyone know the old web guy? He would probably love or hate that this is his replacement.

Results are getting out… my swimio has black history results.

Maybe the person who knows the new web person said do the job.

Black history results must have been sent to myswimio directly because myswimio is missing other meets from last weekend. Myswimio did not get any results from PVS.

I know him. He is a fantastic person. He has trained countless officials. He is at a meet every weekend. He has an amazing work ethic. I am stunned that the PVS board decided to replace him. The PVS website was vastly better than most LSC sites.
