Results posted quickly, looks like the Webmaster must’ve missed a workout or two this weekend. The people judging the timeliness of posting these results and the webmaster’s exercise habits should be so embarrassed. Of course they won’t be, but they should.
My guess is that it was a quick google and this person has really put themselves out there on the topic - exhibited themself so to speak. That is a reminder to everyone to google themselves and see the digital footprint that they left. Being a webmaster, this person should know this and apparently does not mind it being out there for all to see.
Being a webmaster does not excuse these swim parents for their ugly comments about this person. I have no idea about the switchover or whether the old or new person is good, but some of the comments on here are just ugly about the new person. Shameful. This is part of the reason I gave up volunteering, and something I discuss with my kids in leadership roles. There are always people to complain about how you do things, even when you are giving up family time, etc to do them, and they couldn't be bothered. Some of the commenters here really need to look at themselves.
So not a volunteer role - paid position. I agree that with volunteers we should be more understanding. But also agree with the sentiment you should not volunteer and overextend yourself so you cannot do it. If a volunteer takes a day or two to do something - fine. But this was a paid employee who had not done their job in a week and a half. That is slightly different. Adding that the prior webmaster did a very good job and the site is one of the best LSC sites on the East Coast.
