PV Drama impacting results?

Th old guy did a fantastic job. The site is great check out other LSC sites and you will see how great the current site is.

I know the new one and honestly they are a couple who over extends themselves and prioritizes working out and appearances above all else. The site is not getting done because of that. They are doing it because they like to control everything and gatekeep.

Shame on PVS. They have been making a series of poor decisions in the past year. Has leadership changed? Did some board members leave?

I don't even know him, but the screed left on the PVS website when he left makes me seriously question his judgement and maturity. It was said that he refused to implement changes required by PVS-- that's not okay.

So the solution was to hire someone who does not do the job? That seems crazy. PVS has made a series of bad calls recently.

Agree - I have had wonderful experiences with him. Obviously I don’t have the behind the scenes, so I would be reluctant to comment, but I actually love how easy and linear the PVS site is. Everything is simple to find. Virginia Swimming’s site is awful.

Virginia's is bad, Delmarva and NC as well. I have looked almost every site up and down the east coast and PVS has th best.

The PVS website is so well-organized and easy to use. I don’t understand why they would have axed the old webmaster unless there was some kind of personal bad blood with a board member or something.

We have been in PVS for five years now, and I honestly cannot recall a time that results were two cycles behind. I used to think a Wednesday result posting was late and generally that was the meet host and not on PVS.

PVS is now 7 meets behind with probably the four from this weekend as well. I have not even looked at high school meets.

In all seriousness, what kind of business model is this? I would certainly not hire an employee that fails out of the gate. And for the prior poster that made the comments - oh, whoa is her, she has a full time job, kids, etc. she will get to it when she gets to it... I agree both of you should grow up. Living in a world of excuses is crazy. Taking on things on and then half @ssing is not acceptable. If you are unable to do something well, there are plenty others out there that can and will. Including the former web person.

Right…I’m not that deep into the drama and frankly don’t really care who the webmaster is or what the website looks like. But current situation is not working for me at all.

DC is a HS junior and trying to get recruited. I just want results and result files posted to the website quickly. That’s it. I can deal with a layout as is, don’t need changes. Just need the information.

I manage government websites and can’t image telling a customer we’re changing personnel and sorry we can’t make any updates right now. They should have had more people cross trained so others can pick up the role while a new person comes in. And the new person better step up quickly.
