Remember people the US military expended 1/3 of our high altitude interceptors during the last Israel Iran war. This was done to spare Israel any consequences of their actions.

These missiles are very expensive and have not been replaced. Protecting Israel will endanger the US.

How much more money and resources should the US pour in to Israel with no return for the US?

This will be a war. An actual protracted war that will undoubtedly last longer than 60 days and cost 100s of billions of dollars. Why don't we have Congress shouting out about War Powers? In previous engagements, congressmen from both sides of the aisle have always argued that they have a say in wars, regardless of who was sitting in office, and regardless of the War Powers Act.

And part of the strategy of the long deployments is to circumvent the first part of the Act. Because haven't multiple countries in the past 100 years argued that military mobilization itself is an act of war that requires a preemptive strike? Including from the mouth breather crime minister of our greatest ally? The 60 day clock should already have started.
