The FAA is shutting down all flights to/from the El Paso airport for 10 days

Incompetence, it is.

Don’t believe the cover story. This is a Republican Party operation most likely involving drugs and sex traffickers. Just wait.

No one ever said they did. And even if every single voter did vote for Trump, they wouldn't deserve having their airspace shutdown for 10 days with no notice and explanation.

That said, Texas is still a fairly red state. And a majority voted for Trump.

What is this spasticity? Did they embed AI into something and it hallucinated causing panic? Or are they testing psyops to see how the country will respond to national "emergencies" which they might try to do before the elections?

I don't think it is a psyops per say, but I do think they are testing out to see what they can do and what they can get away with.

Yep, lots of testing of the boundaries going on everywhere

And everyone should be questioning and pushing back. This isn't even a partisan issue at this point. Do not defend incompetence and federal government oversteps.

These things have been going on for a year. Republicans are just fine with the Banana Republic of America.

More accurate to blame Trump who chose to pardon a Honduran drug kingpin who pumped hundreds of millions of cocaine intho the USA that prosecutors worked for years to put behind bars.

Trump's pardon of Hernandez came as a surprise to lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, who said the decision appears to contradict the Trump administration's crackdown on drug trafficking from the Caribbean.

"Why would we pardon this guy then go after [Venezuelan president Nicolas] Maduro for running drugs into the United States? Lock up every drug runner! Don't understand why he is being pardoned," Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., said in a social media post over the weekend.

Pam Bondi led off her testimony today with some quip about the US Military needing to shoot down Cartel drones to "keep American safe"

the reality, it was the US military flying its own drones too close to civilian airspace.

There is literally nothing about this administration that is upfront or honest.

This stupidity and incompetence is catching up with us. There will be a mass casualty catastrophe as a result of these bozos.

This is now the working diagnosis always, with this administration, until proven otherwise.

And now, it appears the US military was after ... a party balloon.

That checks out under the current administration.

And when Crockett corrected her blatant lie, the hearing chair shouted over her to try to stop people from hearing Crockett's words.

Republicans hate America and the rule of law.

No, the above explanation makes sense and we have already seen this before. The DOD is not careful with their activities in commercial airspace, and the FAA is reacting to that by closing airspace when it realizes that potential or actual military activity is posing a risk to commercial flights. The DOD is too incompetent and/or does not care. I guess the tragedy at DCA wasn't enough for them. They act with hubris and impunity, and more innocent people will end up paying the price.

IT'S HAPPENING!!!

worry, worry, super-scurry
Call the troops out in a hurry
This is what we've waited for
This is it, boys, this is war
The president is on the line
As ninety-nine red balloons go by

In every one, a red balloon
It's all over and I'm standin' pretty
In this dust that was a city
If I could find a souvenir
Just to prove the world was here

For anyone traveling to El Paso, not a time to take a ride on a Hot Air Balloon (and they do offer them out there)..... Might get shot down by our own military.
Anonymous
But how will Fox spin it? I'm sure they'll run with the Mexican drone story.
Anonymous
so we ordered a 10-day shut down bc of a balloon?
