Me again. It’s documenting for for history. We’re gonna look back on this and people will ask. What the heck did the opposition party do to stop this? All we have right now are Schumer‘s sternly worded letters. |
Also, it gets under Trump’s skin. Every injury pushes him closer to narcissistic collapse. |
Of course they are. Most Republicans have lost their respect for laws. |
As a Texan I agree with the sentiment, but the airspace is also shut down over southern NM and they are most definitely not compliant. Apparently the state of Texas was taken by surprise too. |
Exactly, and you force people to go on the record. |
| What kind of president do we have when the foremost theory is that this is an act of vindication by an unhinged leader? If this had happened during the presidencies of anyone else, never ever would we have jumped to the conclusion that Bush, or Clinton, or Reagan would have done anything like this out of spite. Chris Christie’s Bridgegate is the only thing similar I can think of, and that was one bridge. I hate how cynical we are because of this buffoon. |
What is vindictive about this? We do not know the reason. |
I'm thinking some sort of terrorist threat. |
Mass graves of the people who disappeared from ICE detention? |
In El Paso? And they close airspace for 10 days? This isn't 9/11. |
Jess Ventura (former governor of Minnesota) reported on these government warehouses 15-20 years ago. They've been building them for a long time now, for unspecified reasons. I don't remember what he speculated their intent was, but some sort of holding system. |
| Is Ted Cruz on vacation somewhere? Will he look "concerned?" |

When reached by phone early Wednesday, Representative Joaquin Castro, a Democrat who represents San Antonio, said he did not know more about the closure. Vincent Perez, a Texas State representative from El Paso, was similarly unsure.
“I have never heard of an American airspace being shutdown for 10 days, absent a major emergency,” Mr. Perez said. The airport said in a statement that the restriction had been issued “on short notice” and that it was waiting for additional guidance from the F.A.A. In a notice, the F.A.A. said the federal government “may use deadly force” if an aircraft violating the airspace is determined to pose “an imminent security threat.” The F.A.A. did not immediately respond to a request for comment. |

El Paso member of Congress
Rep. Veronica Escobar At the urging of my office, the FAA is rightfully lifting the Temporary Restricted Airspace. I will again reiterate there is no threat to El Paso or the surrounding areas. |
