The FAA is shutting down all flights to/from the El Paso airport for 10 days

What is this spasticity? Did they embed AI into something and it hallucinated causing panic? Or are they testing psyops to see how the country will respond to national "emergencies" which they might try to do before the elections?

I don't think it is a psyops per say, but I do think they are testing out to see what they can do and what they can get away with.

This isn't a new concern. Have a better reaction plan than what occurred, upending the lives of US citizens, and causing complete panic, then suddenly TACOing and changing the plan when you realize you were short sighted.

A better reaction plan?

Are you there? What if a drone and a commercial heavy airplane collide?

What is your complaint?

They shut down the space for 10 days then reversed that within hours. Yes, they need a better plan for a known issue.

A known issue?

You are a lnown issue. The whole reason cartels have so much power is the policies of the democratic party.

Why the hell is a cartel from Mexico even able to fly drones in our airspace? These problems don't happen overnight.

To shut down air space for ten days for drone sightings and then reverse course within hours reeks of incompetence. If the problem didn't happen overnight, there should be a better plan and solution than what occurred. Why you are defending obvious incompetence, that is on you.

Yep, lots of testing of the boundaries going on everywhere

And everyone should be questioning and pushing back. This isn't even a partisan issue at this point. Do not defend incompetence and federal government oversteps.

Hey, at least someone is getting paid in Trump's economy. Latest downgrade of 2025 jobs numbers is only evidence of more incompetence (nevermind that the admin has less oversight of their social media posting than your average sneaker brand).

They shut down the airspace for 10 days with no warning and every TX member of Congress (yes even Rs) and probably members on committees that have oversight over the FAA blew up miller’s phone and he had to reverse.

MS NOW: "A congressional official with knowledge of the matter is telling MS NOW the cause of the shutdown of El Paso airspace is a lack of communication between the Pentagon and FAA. The official told us the FAA and DOD are 'not in clear communications with each other.'"

Incompetence, it is.

My first thought, but then I read that ICE has now bought 26 warehouses around USA with many more in the negotiation stage….who do they plan to put in these massive buildings?
This is getting really creepy.

Jess Ventura (former governor of Minnesota) reported on these government warehouses 15-20 years ago. They've been building them for a long time now, for unspecified reasons. I don't remember what he speculated their intent was, but some sort of holding system.

I guarantee there was some incident that could have been handled in a much more targeted and quiet way, but Trump said "no, shut down the airspace, shut it down" and maybe there were some people who attempted to explain why that was a bad idea (but also maybe all such people have been fired or forced to quit by now) but he of course didn't listen. His Secretary of Transportation is total toadie with only a few working brain cells, so he went along with it. And then it immediately backfired and they undid it.

This is the sort of thing that happens when the leader is an impulsive idiot with dementia and a personality disorder, and you get rid of of the layers of experience and redundancy that usually protect the organization from the threat he poses.

Expect to see more incidents like this as Trump declines. Random recalls of food based on internet memes? Sure. Scrambling jets because he bumped his head and thought it was an air raid? Ok.

We are all at the mercy of this absolutely shit show unless or until we can get him out of there. We can only hope most of the many, many stupid things he will do between now and then are reversible and non-violent.

Unsurprising given that the Defense Secretary is a certified moron who take testosterone supplements. What could go wrong.

Someone else on social media is speculating that since the El Paso city council is meeting today to discuss restrictions around an 8,500 person warehouse ICE purchased in January, this was meant to be a shot across the bow as to what the federal government can do in advance to force what the regime means to be positive action.

This is probably the right answer more than anything else. Blackmail and grift.

We have a little more information now.

Pam Bondi led off her testimony today with some quip about the US Military needing to shoot down Cartel drones to "keep American safe"

the reality, it was the US military flying its own drones too close to civilian airspace.

There is literally nothing about this administration that is upfront or honest.

Ok but even then, the reaction was to shut down for ten days?? How about we need to pause to assess something, not weirdly, shutting down all flights for ten days and causing everyone with a planned flight in that timeframe to panic??
