The DOD is not careful with their activities in commercial airspace, and the FAA is reacting to that by closing airspace when it realizes that potential or actual military activity is posing a risk to commercial flights. The DOD is too incompetent and/or does not care. I guess the tragedy at DCA wasn't enough for them. They act with hubris and impunity, and more innocent people will end up paying the price. [/quote]
