PP can not post the original thread since it is a bullshit made-up story |
if it is not bullshit, post the original thread as requested by another poster |
What original thread? I posted that post about hiring a professional IEC for app reviews /LOCI after a deferral. I hired a firm mentioned here - don’t think there was an “original thread”. Don’t want to advertise though bc of annoying trolls like PP. Search “application review” or better yet start a new thread. GL. |
Bullshit |
Worth the 80-90k price tag? So a rich kids school.. |
What exactly are you decrying? That she used professional help with the applications |
NP but i’m guessing this poster suspects college consultants are trying to sell their services here, or perhaps a parent repeating the sales pitch they got from a college consultant. There was a line in an earlier post that claimed that a consultant can provide LOCI advice that can’t be found elsewhere that rang a bit BS-y to me also. Tapping in to the deep vein of parental anxiety indeed. |
My kid is super-happy there. I don't know that any college is worth that price tag though! |
Wait, what? I'm the parent who said she hired professional help much earlier. I absoluately owned up to it. I'm not selling my services (lol) or even listing the people I hired for my 2 kids. I did think the help I got was well worth it - but you may differ. So what? Don't spend your $$. Why do you freaking care. I was answering the OP anyway. WGAF? Once upon a time, this place was super helpful for info sharing, resources, and discussing top school strategy. No longer. This place has become toxic, where info sharing is now discouraged. I feel like it's 1 or 2 deranged SAHMs who post all day long waiting for posters to come back. And calling BS or some other troll nonsense. I'm out. Better forums for this now exist. Have 1 more going through this process next year and can't wait to be one. Good riddance to you and the PP. Gatekeep all you want. Monitor this site like psychos. F off. No need to "list my original thread," whatever that means. |
For me, yes it is worth it. Great school, great reputation, kid is happy and safe and getting a good education. Tons of kids are on reduced tuition/room and board…and they also think it’s great, I suspect. |
I think she has a realistic chance at WUSTL during RD, nonetheless the chance is small for everyone. Real, but likely in the single digits to low teens. ED2 give her a meaningful higher chance. From a probability-maximization standpoint, it's not optimal to opt out ED2. Skipping ED2 only makes sense if WUSTL is her true, singular, love. |

Never move on. Fixate. Never forget, never forget. Think about it at night, all night. Until there's nothing else to think about. Until you are totally obsessed. Because that's the most healthy way to deal with things. Because that's the way that everyone who's wealthy has every dealt with things.
Someone stonewalled you? Break the wall. |
Huh? You can’t go from deferred ED1 to ED2. Why are you mentioning ED2 at all? |
Go away |
