Domestic dispute. When he learned that the school was firing him, he drove to his girlfriend's apartment and threatened to kill her and hisself.

Oh wow

This is speculation as the details haven't been made public.

???

Ann Arbor isn't on I-75. It's on US-23. I-75 is 35 miles to the east.

I thought the same! And where is the starting location supposed to be -- Detroit?

Agree. So he had an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member. Big deal. Am I missing something huge detail?

Coach is now in jail for assault. Threatened to kill the staff member and himself.

Again, where was this reported?

Last I checked I think he was basically on a psych hold.

No, it's not.

I'm stuck on the instacart/ubereats delivery person offering a tip (don't know what else to call it) to the university (?) that he ordered Plan B.

Why would this person do that? Who do they tell? Did they google "contact info for Michigan president"? Why would it occur to your door dash or ubereats or instacart driver to tell your employer that you had Plan B delivered? What a time to be alive!

OP clearly had other intentions starting this post as a troll/poser. Unfortunately, DCUM is too smart for that. The actions of one man do not reflect an entire university and the actions of a football coach have zero impact on the academic integrity. I feel sorry for the victim and for Moore’s family. I’m glad the university acted swiftly and removed an individual who does not represent the values of the school.

Dude just torpedoed his life. What an unbelievable fall from grace. What a scandal that likely will get uglier as more details come to light in the next few days.

Given the sizable contingent of folks here who dislike Michigan, feel free to take your shots at the school. We deserve it.

I mean, props to Michigan for enforcing their no tolerance policy. Once upon a time, a university would look the other way or cover up such a sin by a head football coach. I mean, maybe him being black made it easier to drop the hammer, I don't know. But this probably wouldn't have happened a decade ago.

Yeah, that must be it. The breaking into a house with a knife had nothing to do with it.

Michigan doing it again. Cheated on the field. Cheated on the wives. Cheated on the play signals. Hell it feels like the old 1990s when you would go Hatcher and people stole books and required readings for classes. No better school to learn the lesson of life. Go Blue!

My apologies. He was a standup guy whose only offense was his race.

I don't personally think raincident. had anything to do with it. My guess is there's some nasty factor about the relationship that hasn't fully dropped yet. An affair with a staffer isn't great but if it was consensual adults, I'm not sure that alone would be enough

My guess is there's some bad facts somewhere like harassment involved.

But it is factually true he was fired before the breaking in incodent.

For real. Barney Fife locked him up. Aunt Bea is bringing him a nice lunch she prepared.
