What age did your DD get a second piercing?

After she can pay for it herself, whenever that is. If a second piercing is worth it to her, she need to save the money.

Also riding on this thread further to ask for recommendations on piercing parlors in MoCo. Her first piercing at age 5 was at Claire”s but I wasn’t thrilled with them as I find them too low on the lobe. Hoping to find a piercing professional and any recommendations in MoCo would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

DD is 17; many of her friends are getting second piercings but choosing alternative-piercings (not ears). Several have gone for nipple piercings and a few chose labia.

Make her wait until middle school.

Wow. How about that. DD got her 2nd piercing in her ears when she was about 14 or so. She's 17 now.

That’s laughably inaccurate.

BTW, they are known as “body piercings” and many jurisdictions allow minors, with parental consent.

“A parent or guardian must be present for their minor child to get a body piercing in Virginia. Exceptions include ear piercings and piercings performed under the supervision of a medical doctor, registered nurse, or other medical personnel. Virginia considers it a Class 1 misdemeanor to violate this rule.”

We’re allowing DD to get a second ear piercing for her 17th birthday.

I was 16, and my parents were pretty conservative (I didn’t get my first until I was 13)!
