It was a photo shoot. |
Will they attack DC with planes dropping poop bombs? |
DP but I'm guessing: escalating political violence including an increase in political assassinations and attempts, the federal government shut down with no end in sight that has left a lot of people in this area without paychecks, ongoing layoffs in this area due to RIFs, continued violence in the Middle East even after the cease fire, escalating violence in Venezuela and continued commentary from our president indicating a desire to go to war, continuing inflation exacerbated by constantly announced and fluctuating tariffs including new ones announced just this week for Canada and China, the ongoing hateful/sarcastic/volatile rhetoric out of the White House and president, the country's diminished standing among other countries due to the forgoing, etc. If you are NOT on edge these days... what are you on? |
Unemployed government workers aren't flying jets in our airspace. The Middle East isn't flying jets in our airspace. Venezuela isn't flying jets in our airspace. Inflation isn't flying jets in our airspace. Tariffs aren't flying jets in our airspace. Our standing on the world stage isn't flying jets in our airspace. I worry about things I can control. |
Apparently not, although you wouldn't notice much of a change. |
UNPAID government workers are! I wonder how this was considered essential, is it part of a trade deal ? |
You really are unhinged if you think our military is going to bomb DC over the shutdown n |
Seems like you’re the idiot here. |
|
>>>Does anyone know WHY there is a planned flyover of the mall today?
I’m guessing the administration thought the scores of national guard troops standing around doing nothing in the metro stations and the ICE teams abducting citizens are not enough to adequately intimidate us, so they added something more |
What made you go think of that? My point was the pilots are unpaid, which is stressful for everyone so maybe don’t practice complex aerial maneuvers over heavily populated areas. |
The point is that there is a lot of turmoil and violence in the world that can reasonably set someone "on edge." When people are on edge, they tend to be more startled by loud noises and unexpected events. The PP didn't say they thought Venezuela or "inflation" was flying jets in our airspace. They merely said that the event was "unnerving" because it was loud and unexpected. |
Probably a jet. |
So, you think US pilots are incompetent and so worried about paychecks, they can't focus on the mission? |
I guess they wouldn't be able to live my life. I am in the landing pattern for DCA. I hear jets all hours of the day. |
