GOP has the advantage. Much more opportunities nationwide and the removal of illegals from receiving congressional districts and electoral votes.

Finally! Democrats have been taking the high road for far too long. Time to play fair.

We might lose our very democracy, but let's take that high road! We're on our way to a knife fight with some well rehearsed declarations of high mindedness. We'll show em!

Yes! Do it, so our enemies from the outside can finally take us. Do you prefer to speak Chinese or Russian? It’s a D/R circle jerk!!

Wow. Great idea.

How do we go about doing this?

Democrats have proposed a bill to do exactly that multiple times. No Republicans have voted for it.

Again, NOT. THE. SAME.

Finally?? Are you kidding me? You’ve. Doing the same sh!t as each other for 20 years or more. Disgusting.

I can’t wait until you MAGA and mirror universe MAGA devour one another and we can final move forward. We need a party that actually cares about the people.

California has had an independent commission responsible for redistricting for years. The only states that have ever used their supermajority Republican trifectas to redistrict mid-decade are Texas and North Carolina. These things are NOT. THE. SAME.

The independent commission is not independent. Even the Republicans on it are liberals.

The law passed by the assembly is in violation of the state Constitution, in that all bills have to be public for 30 days.
Instead, they took an existing bill, stripped out everything but the bill number and substituted this bill.
So what was public was the bill number.
You have to destroy democracy in order to save it.

Exactly. MAGA needs to be spanked like a little child to behave.

This. Governor Newsom is a true leader.

Lue states have already gerrymandered almost as much as they can.

How can Mass have 40% republican voters and have zero republican reps?

Also it is known that Illinois is heavily
Gerrymandered as well… so republicans are just catching up to what the dems have already done.

Repair just came out that the max democrats can add is 8 seats through California and other states as they are already heavily tilted to democrats. Republicans can gerrymander up to 20 new seats including adding up to 5 in Florida alone.

So starting this race will leave the democrats down by 12 seats total. So be careful what you with for democrats. You may be -12 seats when this is all finished.

Its awesome that we live in a country where the politicians get to pick their voters rather than the other way around. We're going to end up with our own Yakov Smirnov.

Is there any other developed country that allows politicians to choose their voters?

I'm not a constitutional scholar, but the fact that this is allowed is a breathtaking oversight by the Founders. Or maybe we have a horrible Supreme Court.

But this is Banana Republic stuff. The future is looking very grim for the American experiment.
