Yeah, they'll be chat gpt-ing the crap out of their course assignments and spending most of their time partying and making Tik Toks. I guess there are colleges for all kinds!

I'm sure "brains" are the only thing your son cares about in a girl. Hotness is not at all important to him. Or, so he assures you.

Actually hotness is nowhere near the top of his list. We raised him better than that. He focuses on character and brains. He is a brainiac who does not want to be with a shallow dummy! And this is clear from his dating history thus far, thankfully. Future surgeon likely to marry similar.

There are some really hot doctors out there who were in sororities.

THIS! 100%

1 MILLION

“I didn’t got to college to play school”…a quote I saw from a famous D1 athlete (forget who), but that is exactly what comes to mind when I see these nitwit videos.

This and the “four year sleep over”’ element ring true because the organizing principles seem to be very surface level.

It feels much different than a sport or a club organized around academic interest, a skill - musical, athletic, artistic.

There are sororities that are not like this one, thankfully. Ones that require a minimum GPA, are organized around service etc. I'm fine with my DD joining one of those. I think she'd enjoy.

In other words, he knows to stay in his league.

Sure, but probably not this one. He has no objection to hotness, if the other more important pieces are there. But he's definitely a sapiosexual.

Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to choose the surgeon who's posting videos of herself dancing with a pack of sorority girls in Daisy dukes to slice me open. It's not a deal-breaker but not really the highest thing on my list. But you go right ahead.

College in the U.S. is so weird, from the cost and influence of sports to Greek life. Does any of this exist elsewhere? It would be nice if higher education were more affordable in this country, and more focused on the education aspect.

He's 6 foot tall, fit and handsome, has no trouble dating. Just wants a partner who is his equal in terms of intelligence and accomplishments. Yes, I suppose that's his league!

It’s just for wife #1, I wouldn’t go too deep on this, future MIL.
