It’s sorority video season

It's OK to dance. It's OK to wear whatever you want.

It's not OK to expose one's daughters on social media to all and sundry and not-very-subtly celebrate their sex appeal, knowing who is going to follow and gawk.

I have a big problem with this type of American subculture.

Remind me to start a business in Tempe selling Daisy Dukes and cowboy boots - apparently there is a big market for those.

So cute!

Why is one of them in black? Is she the "bad girl" of the sorority? Is she the president? or just the best dancer?

You think it’s their moms posting these highly produced videos?? It’s the college kids (and while I find it a little gross and a lot crimbe it’s their choice and very clearly ok)!

Two reactions to this - (1) it’s like feminism never happened and (2) this honestly looks super fun and I would have wanted to do
It when I was young.

She didn't get the memo on how to dress. Though there are a few others in the background dressed similarly.

I didn't get why the Arizona students had a southern theme going. why not a wild wild west theme?

Cheerleaders be cheerleading.

Based on attending a high school with nationally-ranked cheerleaders, I felt this video hid too many girls in the back waving candles. Not a lot of depth to this squad in terms of featured dancers.

The featured ones did do a great job at this brief rumpshaking clip.

You’rea Democrat, nobody cares what you think.

PP you replied to.

I live in a Democrat-heavy state, PP, and lots of girls in my daughter's school have videos. Not for sororities. Even worse. They get access to social media accounts in middle school, and film themselves dancing in skimpy clothing and suggestive poses. The attention they get is from grown men, not just classmates. Their parents know. Some of them are perversely proud that their daughters can attract that sort of attention.

When you think about this, it's no wonder Epstein and other predators were able to operate with impunity for so long. Nothing has really changed. A lot of this stuff has just moved online.

PP you replied to. Often the mothers repost. I have a friend who sends them to me...

Huh? Are parents doing this? Also these are 19-22 year olds

Oh to be a young sorority girl! They’re having the times of their lives. I do think it’s interesting that sororities are having a resurgence.
