No doubt you never made that comment during the last administration. |
DP. You are delusional. LEFT-CENTER BIAS These media sources have a slight to moderate liberal bias. They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by appeals to emotion or stereotypes) to favor liberal causes. These sources are generally trustworthy for information but may require further investigation. See all Left-Center sources. Overall, we rate The Guardian as Left-Center biased based on story selection that moderately favors the left and Mixed for factual reporting due to numerous failed fact checks over the last five years. |

Ah - thanks. It’s fake then. It’s getting easier to manipulate people and harder for people to tell when they are being manipulated. |
Nobody disputed that they are left leaning, nor did anyone say they are perfect and accurate in every regard. Go back and look at what was written. In terms of credibility they would rank up with some of the more trustworthy right wing media like National Review, Reason, The American Conservative. If you find popular conservative outlets like Fox & Friends, Western Journal, Ben Shapiro, RT, Jesse Waters, Glenn Beck to be credible then you're pretty seriously misguided because they've failed far more fact checks than the Guardian. If you find National Review, Reason, The American Conservative to be accurate and reliable (they have also failed a few fact checks) then your only complaint should be that The Guardian is left leaning and counter to your views, not about its accuracy. |
Sorry, I'm not falling for your revisionist history, PP. As soon as the American public--INCLUDING Democrats--saw the debate with Trump and saw how bad things were with Biden, they pressed for him to be replaced by another candidate. DEMOCRATS did this, NOT Republicans. Sure, it could have happened sooner, but it did happen, and the DEMOCRATS were the ones who made it happen. Now, you do. Let's see the Republicans own up to the fact that Trump is in decline and needs to be replaced. And let's see them do it. |
Why would a self-proclaimed “conservative “ cite the Guardian — if self-proclaimed “conservatives “ supposedly view it as a Leftist rag? I, personally, wouldn’t mock a conservative for citing the Guardian, or even assume that all “conservatives “ believe and read the same things. I would, however, mock and ridicule someone who seemed to expect their unsupported opinions to be treated as “facts” . Projecting — as usual. Eye roll right back at you, and adding an extra suck-teeth. |

Trump is no worse than Biden.
All politicians suck because they're all power hungry and megalomaniacs....if they weren't they wouldn't want to be in politics. Best I can hope for with any given president is to hope they don't get us into any wars. Otherwise I enjoy the show. |
I guess that depends on your perspective. If a very long history of racist behavior and comments as well as cheating contractors, coupled with obviously progressing dementia— on top of the declines of aging strikes you as within the boundaries of the “best (you) can hope for with any given president), well, that’s on you. I hope that most voters have higher standards. I also think that the way money now influences politics has filtered out a lot of wonderful politicians and potential politicians. We now have the executive office that the capitalist oligarchs want — and bought. |
| Well, to be fair, Biden has had his share of racist behavior as well. Your last paragraph is spot on. it's all about the money for both parties. And so we continue to get the shaft no matter who we vote for. |
Biden has had his share of racist behavior— but he also learned, grew, and improved over time. So, imo, Biden had negatives that were 4/5s on a ten point scale, and grew to become better. Yes, I still blame him — in part — for the way the Thomas hearings were handled, which had a pivotal and horrible impact on the country as a whole. I also applaud him for Justice Jackson, VP Harris, and a host of other highly competent appointments and what I regard as generally beneficial policies. Trump, otoh, started at a 10 (horrible end of the scale) — and has become increasingly emboldened, to the point that he needs a whole new scale. Between refusing to rent to people of color in NYC, to his ads urging execution for teens who had yet to have court cases, his level of public racism, vengeance, and even psychopathy stand out. Now he’s got ICE — hiring untrained, minimally educated forces to do his bidding, targeting communities of color, supported by our tax dollars. You’re, of course, entitled to your opinions, but I’d rather vote for “bad” then exponentially “worse”, and there are appreciable differences between the two. I try not to let the unreachable hope of “perfect” become the enemy of actually attaining “good”. |
Are you the poster who told the other PP, "You're making it up about the often fail fact-checks" (bolded, above)? Your assertion that no one said they are "perfect and accurate in every regard" is false. Face it, The Guardian is indeed a questionable source. As for the bolded sources, above, I don't read/watch any of them, much less cite them. (Oh, and Reason is rated "HIGH for factual reporting due to mostly proper sourcing and a clean fact-check record.") |
You didn't seriously think that was a real picture... did you?
|
"Revisionist history"?? Are you joking? I'm talking about *before* the debate with Trump. Back when anyone with eyes could clearly see Biden was declining quickly, but whenever it was brought up, we were treated like liars and gaslighters. It was only after the debate that the actual liars and gaslighters had nowhere to hide anymore and had to own up to reality. As for Trump - there's a big difference between unappealing and flat-out cognitively impaired. He may be the former, but there is no indication that he isn't governing and making decisions himself. You may not like those decisions, but that's a you problem. |
Goodness. You must be mocking and ridiculing your fellow leftists then - all day, every day. |
