The fact that one of our major political parties nominated this jackass 3 consecutive times and the other major political lost to him in 2 of three 3 elections tells us just how dysfunctional these two parties have become.

Especially when one party's motto is "blue no matter who."
I read here repeatedly that the liberals would vote for <name the animal or inanimate object> instead of Trump.

How is this different from GOP voters, many of who voted for a carnival barker not once, or twice, but THREE times?! When Trump first ran for the nomination (which he never expected to get), there were a number of normal Republicans that primary voters could have picked. But they didn't pick normal candidates. They picked this bloviating, corrupt, sexual-abusing monstrosity instead--he was literally the LEAST fit for office of all the candidates.

And, millions of us are extremely happy with what he has done. Securing our border, fixing our trade imbalance, seeing wages rise for blue collar workers, halting the practice of "gender affirming practices" on our youth, holding universities accountable for antisemitism, shrinking government.........
I could go on and on and on. Seems like electing a businessman instead of a politician has led to positive outcomes.

In neither category, however, have Trump policies actually achieved anything solid. Manufacturing output, as measured by the Federal Reserve, fell in three of the first five months of this year, following a powerful gain in December, the last full month of the Biden administration. As of May, U.S. manufacturing is operating at a slightly lower percent of capacity than it was in December.
LA Times:
The Bureau of Labor Statistics says that manufacturing employment fell by 8,000 in May, by 2,000 over the three months ending in May, and by 9,000 over the six months ending in May. If there’s a renaissance in manufacturing jobs attributable to Trump industrial policy, it’s not visible in the official numbers.

They’re right. Going back to October 2022, the five-month average was higher than Trump’s in 12 of the last 32 months. That includes five months of Biden’s term — July through October 2024. The highest annualized five-month gain in real average hourly wages was recorded in September 2024, when it reached about 3.2%.

As for the trade imbalance--It is hardly fixed. Record trade deficit in May but now at the moment trade gap with China is at a 21-year record low. But trade balance numbers do not live in a vacuum. Reuters: "The tariff effects showed signs last month of spilling over into the domestic services sector, which accounts for roughly two-thirds of total U.S. economic activity. Business activity unexpectedly flatlined in July with little change in orders and a further weakening in employment even as input costs climbed by the most in nearly three years, underscoring the ongoing drag on businesses from tariff policy uncertainty."

Immigration actions are rife with civil and human rights abuses under Trump, and people who are currently legally permitted to work and have been complying with TPS or asylum processing requirements are being detained.

You're hypnotized by Trump talking points--not even Trump, really, given how rambling and inarticulate he is, but filtered through Karoline Leavitt and GOP politicians in general who are not going to take any chances of pissing off Trump. It may be Stalinism Lite, but the concept is the same.
