The fact that one of our major political parties nominated this jackass 3 consecutive times and the other major political lost to him in 2 of three 3 elections tells us just how dysfunctional these two parties have become.

Especially when one party's motto is "blue no matter who."
I read here repeatedly that the liberals would vote for <name the animal or inanimate object> instead of Trump.

How is this different from GOP voters, many of who voted for a carnival barker not once, or twice, but THREE times?! When Trump first ran for the nomination (which he never expected to get), there were a number of normal Republicans that primary voters could have picked. But they didn't pick normal candidates. They picked this bloviating, corrupt, sexual-abusing monstrosity instead--he was literally the LEAST fit for office of all the candidates.

And, millions of us are extremely happy with what he has done. Securing our border, fixing our trade imbalance, seeing wages rise for blue collar workers, halting the practice of "gender affirming practices" on our youth, holding universities accountable for antisemitism, shrinking government.........
I could go on and on and on. Seems like electing a businessman instead of a politician has led to positive outcomes.

Have you looked at his approval polls? You are definitely in the minority.

His approvals are low because he's not doing nearly enough. You won't like what comes next.

He's an old man, and harking back to his earlier days building real estate, wanted to take a look at the ballroom space. Just like when he toured the Fed reserve's new building, or talked about the gold leaf in the Oval - he fancies himself a decorator. Since he's the Pres, no one can easily refuse his little whims.

A fully functional President busy with actual affairs of state would never do this. But with this impulsive, distracted guy who can't triage priorities to save his life, it's hard to know where exactly his brain falls in the spectrum of "mildly off" to "deeply demented".

I'm not a trained psychologist, and to me his decline is evident, and he wasn't that coherent/healthy looking even in his first term. The White House is a historic building and there
must be something that there must be approval to change historical buildings

I hope the Democrat elected as President in 2028 will demolish the ostentatious gold ballroom., restore the Oval Office so that it no longer looks like a whore house and recreates Jackie Kennedy's Rose Garden.

Actually the White House has long needed an entertainment space to host large gatherings. Biden didn't want to do it because we were in a pandemic, then recovering from a pandemic with high inflation, so it didn't look good, but the house of the people does need a larger guest area. The last large gathering at the White House needed a ginormous tent, which is a lot more uncomfortable for guests and more difficult to maneuver for the staff.

You can think whatever you want of Trump, but I certainly hope the ballroom gets built and that it stays.

I am sad about the rose garden, though. And a lot of Trump's other choices.
