Well, give yourself a f**king medal. Do you have a brain illness? Were you subject to systematic abuse and attacked and gaslighted by the most powerful people on earth when you tried to stand up for yourself? Oh, you survived all that and didn't have suicidal symptoms?

Well, guess what? That's not your moral character to credit. It's luck. You are *lucky* you did not have suicidal symptoms of a sometimes lethal brain illness.

You're lucky. Not superior. She loved her kids too. She lasted as long as she could.

(And frankly, I don't believe she died by her own hand, but if she did...she stayed as long as she could.)

I wouldn't have responded to your comment but I just want to say that no, I am not feel superior and as far as I know, do not have have a brain illness. Throwing insults around on the internet doesn't make anyone look tough.

I would give my life for my child. Committing suicide and leaving them to fend for themselves will never be an option. I don't think I deserve a medal for having that belief at all.

The only reason I would doubt her suicide is not her trauma, that's clear. It's that I'm sure many people wanted her dead. Isn't it easy to stage a suicide?

DP here. I think her kids are older teens / young adults so not small kids who need mothering. Also she was estranged from them.

NP. I’m sure you sincerely mean that, but have you suffered as much trauma as Virginia Guiffre did, and starting at such a young age? Maybe you have — but if you haven’t, then you have absolutely no idea how that would impact you, and shame on you for thinking she should have been psychologically stronger.

I think this tallies with most people's basic commitment to family. But then if you don't understand mental illness / suicidal tendancies, you simply can't empathize fully with those who suffer them.

Congratulations on having lived the life you have.

Yep. She went through horrible things and has the trauma to make this believable.

But the timing seems too convenient.

No. There is no conspiracy here. She had won the cases, she had got the money, Ghislane was in jail and Epstein was dead. Prince Andrew has essentially been stripped of his duties and is facing further humiliations.

She was no longer a threat to anyone but herself. The exaggerated car crash, the fake injuries, the slightly crazy social media posts about how she was on her death bed. It was all desperation after being estranged from her family and then she finally gave up because she felt she had nothing to live for.

Her husband had been arrested for DV years ago when they lived in CO. It was cited in a Maxwell court filing. Not uncommon for an abuser to alienate the kids from his victim. Sad life and sad end.
