Schools for SSFS families

McLean? Nora? Barrie?

As for St. Andrew's, it depends on the grade level. Some likely have space.

Oneness also has space in some grades.

For kids up to 8th in DC, if you are open to a Jewish school, try Milton. No idea if there are any spaces but it is a lovely school and community and when I was talking to a parent there about schools he described SSFS (he also had a kid there) as having very similar feel and values

Adding Lab School in DC - for kids with dyslexia and related challenges - AND big focus on community and belonging - as well as the arts.

Great addition! I would add Sienna to this as well. We know a couple of kids who have just thrived there. It is near the beltway in Silver Spring.

Also Chelsea in Hyattsville is great for kids with dyslexia/ dysgraphia and may be open to a last minute application for next school year.

Definitely reach out to Field, but last I heard they still had a waitlist from the admission cycle.

Correcting that the Washington Waldorf School is in Bethesda. Same sports league as SSFS, so your student athletes can stay together on a team with solid coaching, well-established programs, and a brand new gym. Application fees are waived and tours have been added for SSFS families. As a PA-involved WWS parent, I'm very sorry for what you're going through and hope we can help!

We have friends with a kid at Chelsea doing well. However, it’s a school in an office building. It’s nothing like SSFS

Field also has no financial aid

We love the Barrie community and our child has blossomed in the Montessori program.

That’s absolutely false. 20% of the student body receives very generous financial aid according to their website.

No financial aid left for families that do apply because it’s already been given away during normal admission cycle

Anyone know if Norwood is waiving the application fee for SSFS families?
