This is the answer. No other school has its own stalker that appears to pop up on every single post even tangentially related to the school.

Several other schools also do, including UVA, W&M, UMCP,...

Why W&M? Amazing school

If kid got accepted, family likes. If kid was not accepted, family dislikes. Same concept applies to UVA and several other schools...it is about Confirmation Bias.

So it’s Mediocre Male syndrome?

“You want to go out with me?”
“No, sorry, I’m not interested.”
“Good because you’re ugly! Who would want to go out with you anyway?”

Craziest response I’ve read on DCUM this month.
Sometimes you can look at a person and say ‘Only when pigs fly’, it’s like that for parents and some schools, it’s not sour grapes, it’s mild to severe disgust

These because 10 years ago they were safeties that parents would have been thrilled to send their high stats kids to but now they are reaches for everyone so are awful/not-worth-the-mone/yield-protecting scam schools

Most of the schools were easy admits back in the days. Many Ivies had 50 60 70% acceptance rates. Ivies invented all sorts of gaming including ED.

Which Ivies had 50 60 70 % acceptance rates and when? Provide sources.

Sure, some posters are very anti red state but plenty of southern schools get love on this board. Not just the Duke, Vandy, and Wake type places. Lots of positive discussion about Georgia, South Carolina, Elon, Clemson, for example.

And if you’re going to call out the anti red state voices, make sure you call out folks dismissing this or that school because It’s too “woke,” Equally annoying.

Richmond, although the school is admittedly an afterthought for most people here.

Tulane gets a lot of hate on here. My kid attends and it has been amazing.

Red states rock. They are the reason we have a president who is draining the DC swamp.

If by draining the swamp you mean tanking the economy, sure.

There are people who get ticked off at the very mention of CTCL. Posting about a member school without using that term is safer.
