The one question every single person in Europe asks me

If the republicans voted for this cruelty then they are not Christian’s.

He's allowed to completely overhaul trade, security, taxation, and the way the govt is run. That's what the people voted for. I do agree with him on some big issues like it was a catastrophic mistake listening to the elite tell us we needed to offshore everything in terms of manufacturing. Complete decimation of our manufacturing base was so epically stupid. I agree that many of our allies have taken advantage of our generosity for far too long and wow, look at that, all of the sudden Europe finds $800B to spend on their own defense. Amazing. I do agree we need to get very rough on people for flooding our country with fentanyl. DEI at work got completely out of hand.Trump is absolutely right on immigration.

Again, I may disagree with what a lot of what Trump does wrt constitutional law, crypto, and firing of feds. But he won the election.

Manufacturing and IT support was shipped overseas because labor was cheaper. Greed by American companies is responsible not elite.

People dont protest anymore because the funding dried up. Its as simple as that.

I guess my first question is

Why is the government using our cell phones to monitor our movements?

Without a warrant I don’t think they can.

So the GPS info in the article is probably false.

And how many times are they going to claim Dems bus people in? And something, if true, they do as well.

I don’t know, bc I grew up in the uk where we do strike and protest I think more, what to tell them. Why aren’t we? Why are we just rolling over and letting Trump do this to our country?

Actually I was reading an article last night that showed a lot of large protests going on that the media is not covering.....I wonder why This is from Hitler play book.....create the narrative and keep media in line. People need to wake up and yes we need to get bigger and louder.

This. A huge number of people are protesting but ever since Vietnam protests are no longer covered in the media. Hundreds of thousands of people protested the invasion of Iraq, but the media ignored it.

Hundreds of thousands are protesting now (if you add up the demonstrations all over the country) but the media isn't covering it.

Also, one national demonstration with hundreds of thousands of people protesting takes months to organize, and people here aren't the types to illegally take to the streets especially with a President who doesn't care about the law and has actually declared that he will send US citizens to El Salvadoran prisons if they don't fall in line.

Or wanted his secret service to shot them.

People are protesting. Tell your European friends that the real issue is: Why aren’t media reporting the protests.
Tell them too, that in the US, many police are militarized, all are armed, and many of us are particularly vulnerable— especially POC.

Exactly, thank you. The protests are going on and for the most part the only ones getting arrested are the maga mental patients showing up to counter protest.

I don't think most Americans know what they are getting (even still), and 2 months in there is a LOT of instability that makes people who knew what they were getting still nervous. There is no strategy.

However, to your point - enough Americans wanted this administrations modus operandi that the Americans who didn't want this are willing to watch the system break so we can come in and fix it when it does. What's the worst that can happen? If Trump does well, then we were wrong. If Trump does poorly, we fix it. Isn't this the way it always works in political parties?

Too much race baiting and attempts to get us into the streets. There is concern that Trump would enact martial law or abuse some sort of power to punish protesters and honestly we are sick and tired of fighting after we showed up to the polls and people still showed us who they were. We aren't going into the streets, except for those in our own community to build coalitions at the local level.

Black men did not show up.

Would people in UK, France be protesting if they started firing EU bureaucrats?

Also doubtful they could get that info this quickly

Agree with most of this. OP, what exactly do you think we should protest? Trump won the election fairly.

And some of us do feel that Trump has the right idea on curbing illegal immigration and how we need to pull back our unwanted presence overseas.

Putin stole the elections if 2016 and 2024. But the election of 2020 was the most secure in our history.
