Ketchup was invented to mask the spoiled taste of rotten meat. Since we are no longer eating rotten meat, it’s no longer useful.

For my part, I'm sick of every "nice" date night atmosphere restaurant around here being "New American" or "elevated Southern" or whatever. I'm not that interested in your roasted half chicken with green beans for $45 or your burger for $25. Seems like the menus are all the same and the desserts are really boring lately - "flight of three" miniscule scoops of ice cream, bread pudding, Smith Island cake.

Every slice of Smith Island cake I've ever had is dry. I guess it has to be dry in order to have such thin slices?

DH and I once took an impromptu trip to the Grand Canyon around Xmas. We were young and wanted to drink but almost nothing was open. We found a cvs or something and they had lemon Smirnoff on sale (clearance I think) for $5 - we couldn’t believe our luck, 5$ for a whole bottle! My gosh it literally tastes like doing shots of lemon pledge lol. I usually love lemon but that put me off for a long while.

Ooh, I am with you! I have hated Thanksgiving food since I was a kid. I mostly load up on apps on Thanksgiving because the meal is never appetizing. And no, it doesn't matter who cooks it or if it's at the Four Seasons, it's all bad.

Is this on plain white bread? I have green olives w/pimentos in fridge, do I eat them with PB with pimentos? I'm willing to give this a try this evening. I love Olives and PB, but the idea of the tastes together is not sitting well in my mind but will try and report back.
