What's your unpopular food opinion?

Chipotle is SO GOOD. I get nauseous just walking into one. So many people are shocked to find out that I hate Chipotle!

I'll never understand why people boast about their weak constitutions and malfunctioning organs as if it's some kind of flex.

Guess what Karen, normal, healthy people can walk into a fast casual restaurant without getting nauseous. If this is actually happening to you then you need to see a doctor immediately, not brag about your poor health on the internet.

What exactly do you dislike? The cilantro-lime rice? The pico? The black beans? etc?

I hear this all the time about Taco Bell. I'm like this is a you problem, not a taco bell problem. See a doctor.

Which, potentially unpopular options, is freaking delicious. It's our go-to road trip treat.

Same. I feel like I have to hide just how much I dislike it around here.

I hate milk/ cream in coffee. It makes it taste like afternoon coffee breath smells.

Peas are absolutely vile. They taste disgusting and completely ruin any food they are added to. In a dish like fried rice, every single pea needs to be picked out in order to make the rest palatable.

The only exception is Indian food in which the peas are spiced and cooked into oblivion, like samosas.

Truffle oil wrecks anything it touches. Truffles themselves, the actual fungus, are ok. Truffle oil = rancid feet.

I don't use sugar but I do use cream. I'd agree with you no cream if you're being served perfect coffee. But 99% of coffee has flaws. Cream helps mellow out acidity, bitterness, over-roasting, etc. while also providing better mouth feel. And if you only drink coffee for in the morning (no side pastry or breakfast with it), cream gives it a little more substance. Otherwise you're just drinking flavored water.

I've heard people say that various things taste like dirt... beets, sunchokes, even ordinary old potatoes. I like those things, but truffle oil... *gag*
