I think it's because they were tied to policies under the former president, who resigned. Not sure what campus climate is like now.

no. other colleges had people resign, even presidents.

this list is typical for this admin: a list was made, was shown around a table and everyone took their favorite school off for no real reason other than alumni status or they like the football team or whatever. totally random and subjective and whatever the fat white guys thought in the moment. the conversations went like this:

"take notre dame off, my son is there."
"done. anyone else?"
"can I add a school? I heard about this one thing on Joe Rogan and it's just a woke bs"
"of course. add, remove, whatever you want"

Notre Dame had zero antisemitic incidents.

How many Jewish students attend ND?

In recent years, ND tends to attract right wingers who seem fine with dictators and genocide.

(I say this as someone who once loved ND and almost attended)

ND did have a few very small pro-Palestinian protests but were never allowed to establish an encampment. The administration was very strict about it. They enforced Fr. Hesburgh's 15 minute rule, which was establashed in 1969 during protests about the Vietnam war and other issues. https://hesburgh.nd.edu/fr-teds-life/the-notre-dame-president/the-60s-and-student-activism/hesburgh-letter-the-new-york-times/#:~:text=Anyone%20or%20any%20group%20that,to%20what%20is%20proper%20here.

No way, this is definitely a college topic. And sorry but your orange man and Astro boy have managed to make every possible other topic political 🤷🏻‍♀️

All college topics are now inextricably linked to politics, thanks to Trump. He's put his overreaching fingers into everything.

I believe he's just using last year's protests as an excuse to make universities wary of holding any future protests against Trump! He wants to clamp down on freedom of expression at universities because they are a threat to Trump. He also wants to gut grants, funding and dept of Ed because he wants to weaken our nation's colleges. Trump is aware that it is the non-college educated that are his most reliable base. He's trying to stifle those that would oppose him, by using antisemitism as his excuse.

Yes, exactly! I just said something similar on my kids' school's parents page.

Also, where is UT?

This.

"Brown has not experienced the heightened hostilities we have seen nationally, and I am writing to share that we’ll see a peaceful end to the unauthorized encampment that was set up April 24, 2024, on the College Green. After productive discussions between members of the Brown University administration and student leaders of the Brown Divest Coalition, we have reached an agreement that will end the encampment by 5 p.m. today."

The handled it very diplomatically. "the students have agreed to remove the encampment and refrain from further actions that would violate the Code of Student Conduct through the end of this academic year, including through Commencement and Reunion Weekend."

Was just about to say this….it seems random because it is NOT about anti-semitism. The schools that were “spared” are the ones who are swiftly dismantling everything DEI

And guess what else…the tariffs aren’t about fentanyl.

If that’s the case, how come Ohio State (Vance’s alma mater) is on the list?

Because people there made fun of him.

I hate everything that the administration does, but you realize many of these schools have taken no action to deter antisemitism. Are you in support of that?
