I'm Op and my kid will stay on waitlist, but I am hoping to have admit or deny. I mean, how long do you wait.
I wish they hadn't built up this waitlist anxiety all week long with the blog post. |
|
and they just posted this https://www.admissions.uga.edu/blog/2025-freshman-admits/
32.9 overall, must assume much lower oos. |
Line about rigor worries me. DC in 4 Apps but not particularly hard ones. |
I have zero hope my kid will be admitted after deferral in EA
|
Same. And it's #1. What are your kids stats and where else are they considering? |
Top choice too. 3.7 UW, 8 APs and 1500 SAT GPA will be the issue I think Will probably go to FSU How about your kid? |
Funny- FSU likely second choice too. 34 superscore but lowest sections English and math. 4.62/3.83 MCPS but UGA GPA 4.0. The UGA one is the one that matters 8 APs but not very rigorous ones. |
Don't give up hope. The blog post says that "we expect to use the wait list for a fair number of admissions offers after seeing the deposit data after May 1." Good luck! |
| Praying for all my DCUM buddies who want UGA! |
| Rejected. Ugggggh. |
I hope your kid got good news. Mine was rejected as we expected. |
| Op here, kid rejected. Good luck to others! |
|
In-state Deferred EA.
REJECTED
Ok, well this was the final decision we were waiting on (#1 choice), so now at least we can go to plan B and be done with it. I don't know why but our family had so much anxiety for my kid about this particular decision. I guess it's all the hype about UGA lately. |
| Op here, so surprised all these deferral to rejections. Would have thought if good enough for deferral, waitlist was more likely. |
| Yup. Annoying. Would have preferred the rejection in December!!! |
