UGA deferral - in prior years did your kid do the update - what happened

Does anyone have an idea about merit scholarships if admitted regular but deferred EA? DD admitted with great merit everywhere else (U Miami, FSU, Alabama, FIU, Auburn ) but UGA was her first choice lol. Holding out hope but being realistic...

I have a child at UF, and one that will be starting at UGA. Both are good schools, with UF being slightly harder to get into.
Look at the CDS for each school in order to get an accurate idea of the statistics for ENROLLED students. UT Austin is by far the hardest for OOS kids to get accepted into, followed by UF, then UGA. 75th percentile UGA is 32 and UF's is 33. Keep in mind that these are super scores, where UT doesn't accept super scores.
One major drawback of UF is the significant number of online classes, which I’ve found disappointing. As a parent of a UF student, I don't believe the academics are on par with UT, UVA, UMich, UNC, or UW-Madison.

I think UGA will be out 3/14. We have probably 20+ people from our HS deferred and waiting... it's pretty crazy. I assume that lowers my DC's chances : (

Prob our hs. too. I am hoping most of them didn't fill out the update form, as it isn't a lot of kids 1st choice, but it is my DCs.

OOOOOOOF. And here I told myself I was going to be one of those parents able to maintain calm and not spin in worry. And I was. Until this month, when child's nerves are just about radiating out from her skin.

countdown begins. i only hope they take right decision. EA offers were 9500. only way to see better result is if these students withdraw if they dont intend to join UGA giving scope for new RD group.
