This is so true. Seeing what the prior administrations spent our money on, the ones before, and who knows what is to come. |
I think most people are scared to buy a used EV. (New EVs are scary enough for them). But there is huge value in doing so. Very happy with mine (non-Tesla) and it has been the cheapest cost of ownership of any car I have ever owned. |
Better sell that stock soon or you will not make any money! EVs are a superior version of a car. They are cheap to run, fun to drive and very convenient to charge. Never having to stop at a gas station is the best. I do not even know what gas prices are. I do not own a Tesla but another manufacturer. We got the full tax credit and the EV was cheaper vs the gas model. DC was no taxes on EV, no emissions test, no “special” fee for EV and gave a $1,500 to install a charger. Not paying an excise tax on EV was a big savings(like 5-6%). Now I a pay about $8-$10 for equivalent of a tank of gas and no stopping at the gas station because I charge at home(and I am always ending up a home). If Trump would let the Chinese cars in they would be priced around half of what the equivalent gas car. The way the market is trending EVs will be a lot cheaper vs gas cars. It takes half the man hours to make. Once they get up to size and scale of gas powered car manufacturing you could see really nice new cars costing between $10-$20k. |
I side eye anyone I see in a Tesla truck. Though on the other hand, Tesla trucks are the best form of male birth control that's been produced this century. No woman is touching a guy who drives one of those things. |
If y’all still think we’re asking “who wore it better? republicans or democrats?” here then you must be even stupider than I feared… |
This. |
You didn’t read my post. I did sell the stock and I did make a ton of money. Enough to retire on very very well. |

Europe is calling Tesla Swasticars. And cybertrucks look like dumpsters.
Sales of Teslas are down around the world. |
What gas model are you comparing to where you think the EV model was cheaper than the gas model? Be specific. Don’t compare your cheaply made EV to a BMW. |
| I paid $22K for my 2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. Are there EVs priced at this point in the US? If not what is the premium I would pay an equivalent EV. What’s my break even point. |
| We have one. Would like to sell it but can't take the financial hit right now. I hate that we have to drive around in it and our neighbors see it in our driveway. |
| This guy I went on a date with said he had the trash can as a second car. I blocked him when I got home. |
lol they totally look like dumpsters! Cyberdumps. |
| Honestly when I see a cybertruck I have to restrain myself from keying it and getting arrested. |
So this poster probably doesn’t make much money relative to the DC area if they qualified for the full $7500 tax credit and other breaks. You only qualified for the credit if your AGI was below $150K filing single or $300K filing jointly. But good deal nonetheless. Personally I would never qualify for this credit. |
