Used Teslas

We can't get another car right now, and doing so would be bad for the environment since there is nothing wrong with this one (except the guy who owns the company has lost his mind and soul, if ever he had one), so it is what it is. And it's actually a great car, so there's that too. We don't own any Tesla stock.

If you want to take something out on Elon, go after Elon, not your neighbors. We need to get our kids to school and ourselves to work. A car is a car. I don't get people who side eye someone for the car they drive as if it means they agree with Elon's current politics. That's just not realistic.

But when it breaks, you're spending money that will filter back to Elon.

Get rid of it. Buy an electric Beamer. They are great cars, rated #1 by consumer reports.

I've stopped all oligarch-related spending. Not a cent of my money is going to those robber barrons.

Here are the links to the companies they own:

Elon will get into the bitcoin business to replace his losses with Teslas. It won't be over so easily.

I have a Tesla that I love. It is not a status symbol. It was $30K used. I do not like Elon but I will not be getting rid of my car. I wonder how many of these Tesla haters still use X.

But this was true years and years ago and look how many people bought them!

I am going to stop using Amazon prime and all the rest of their crap. It already sucks tbh, prime video now has ads and delivery started switching up the delivery date if using the buy now button. Costco all the way from now on.

I hope so. I’d love to buy another Tesla. Aside from saving us from a debt crisis, Elon’s cars never need any type of maintenance and are extremely fun to drive. I bought mine back when I hated Trump. Now I’m a proud Tesla driver.

Tesla is drifting out of his focus - the models are old and becoming stale. Total Tesla sales dropped between 2023 and 2024.

Yeah, I stopped shopping at Amazon. If I really need to order online I go to Walmart. They’re actually better than Amazon.

if they are, they usually have these stickers on them:

I wonder what type of medications people who do this have in their bloodstream while driving.. I'd stay away and hope it's FSD driving

Yup. He's got access to US Treasury payment systems, is gutting CFPB, and trying to gut SEC. Soon he can do anything he wants.

I love my Tesla, bought it before Elon was involved in politics, but would consider buying another one if I can get a bargain. I could guess there will be people selling their used cars for political reasons and prices may drop. I wouldn't mind picking up a used X model for some extra space when I find a good deal. I've been hunting for a used 3 row SUV for a while and not seeing anything decent and not bulky or sluggish or too $$$ and gas guzzling. Our test drives of affordable gas models and especially hybrids were incredibly underwhelming.

IDGAF about politics, none of the parties made my life better, in fact both have created problems for me.

I don’t get the people who say they save money with a Tesla. With the $10-$15K premiums built in to the price of the car, the EV fees added to your annual car registration to make up for gas taxes, the $1K-3K you pay an electrician to add a charger to your garage, it seems you’re just paying for your gas upfront. But I did own TSLA stock and these people made me quite a bit of money. Thank you.

I don’t want my car to make me think about Elon musk. I just don’t want to think about Elon musk any more than necessary.

Just put a big I'm with Her, or Biden or Harris sticker on the back.

Sure. I have a friend who got rid of hers and friends with bumper stickers commenting on it. It’s a thing.
