It’s the only way to both hire white men and gain diversity points. |
I have been told something essentially identical to the sentiment of this line by a gay coworker. It’s incredulous to think about, but many gay men really do seem to believe they’re better at being women, than women. And when you consider they’re essentially just taking natural male cockiness and arrogance - something found in all men, gay or not - and applying instead to their perceived rivals (women) instead of their traditional male rivals, it makes sense why they would feel this way. |
+1 |
Gay men have no interest in being women. You’re thinking of straight trans women. |
+ a ZILLION. I hate the word. Hate HATE H-A-T-E it. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a slur. And since I’m the one it’s being used to describe, I get to decide if it’s a slur or not. So I say it is. It’s the equivalent of the F-word for gay men as far as I’m concerned. |
Or 2 male salaries. |
No, I’m thinking of all the gay men in our newsroom. This is a real phenomenon. |
So if straight white men aren't promoted, it's because other people are only being promoted because of some demographic they satisfy? You actually believe it can't possibly be because they are more qualified or worked harder or are just plain better? Jeez. |
Duh, welcome to the world of DEI. |
I work with many gay men and they have a weird relationship with certain women where they seem to enjoy their company, seek them out for lunch breaks, but also seem to dislike them deep down and would never ever do them any kind of favor. One told me that he felt he could make my husband happier in bed than I could. What a normal thing to say to a coworker. |
Y'all wanna be a victim soooo bad 😂 |
It might help for white men to complain more. Mostly they don't and it allows a lot of people, such as you, to ignore reality. |
Maybe since they are a blend kinda of the great female + male attributes? ![]() |
It’s the social currency of our modern age so why wouldn’t they? You just want different rules for different races. That’s called bigotry. |
Victimhood and aggrievance are the modern Coin of The Realm. The new privilege to exploit. If you can’t claim to be a victim, you have no power. |
