And you’re envious of her, which is even more sad.

I'm not envious of any woman who is encouraging her 12 year old daughter to dress and dance in public like she's an adult.

DP. 12 is young for this, IMO.

Wasn't Beyonce groomed by her own husband? You would think she would be more protective of her tween daughter.

What is her caliber? She’s a middle aged washed up r and b singer. Her peak was like 15 years ago. Most of her washed up r n b peers are doing the cruise circuit or recording gospel albums that might sell 50k units.

NP. Like…she’s Beyoncé. Stop acting like she’s some no-name has been.

Her current “popularity” is 100% fake and manufactured thanks to her husband, anstroturfing, payola, and guest features. What was her last bonafide hit with no features? Halo? 17 years ago.

+1 She clearly has no problem with it.

I can't stand Jay Z (never liked him). I can respect Beyonce as a performer and as an artist. Not sure why you have to see one of the most successful artists on earth through her dh at all. They are separate people.

I think PP means she’s being trotted out because of the recent allegations, but presumably this was in the works prior to that

This is Beyonce. She doesn't need to be "trotted out". And of course it was in the works for a long time!

Technically speaking, she *was* trotted out lol

I feel like people complaining and nitpicking did not watch the performance.

I watched it and didn't like it at all. The songs and country album are terrible. It could be satire, honestly, but I don't think Bey is smart enough to pull it off. Sadly, she is serious with this country crap. The biggest insult to my ears was her rework of "Jolene."

Your ears are biased

DP. I thought her rendition of Jolene was pretty poor. She doesn’t have the vocal chops for that song.

Tell that to Dolly Parton. She loves Beyonce's version and wants to do it together at the Grammys.

She knows if she doesn't praise it, the Beyonce propaganda machine will brand her a racist and try to grind her into the ground.

This again. Maybe it's hard for someone with the maturity of a 12 year old who still worships celebrities, but some of us really don't want to be like Beyonce. Never have, never will. It's annoying to have her shoved down our throats. Feel the same way about other pop stars who cant sing.

NP. Are you one of the people constantly posting about celebrities, thinking about celebrities, etc? You’re here posting in this thread on DCUM. Why do you spend so much time and energy on this if it’s beneath you

I’m sure the intent is for her to eventually be launched as a teen pop star.

Another sexualized pop star preteen like Britney Spears?

You constantly use this phrase all over this forum about all kinds of celebrities. The cognitive dissonance on display is never-ending entertainment to me.

Or like Beyonce herself. Maybe she too can be hooked up with a future mogul as an underage teen so she's set for life.

Didn’t see the performance but I don’t get all the hype around her. Heard a few songs where see actually sings, great voice but most of her songs never struck me. I really only know put a ring on it and that’s because of SNL skit.

As for Dolly, I remember when she said she liked the Dixie Chicks when the rest of country music hated them. No one touches Dolly. She probably really does like Beyonce singing her songs. Dolly is not afraid of Jay Z.

Who doesn't Dolly like? She's probably too polite to say something negative.

Nope. I don't. Once in a while an Entertainment thread pops up on the Recent Topics list and I'll check it out. Usually regret it.

Who is "you"? Do you not realize this is an anonymous forum with many different people typing similar things?

The stupidity of posts like yours is always...depressing. You try to gotcha and you just...fail.

This lip-syncing nitwit got $20 million for that garbage performance?
