What colleges do you have negative associations with and why?

how can you possibly waste your time on this when there's so much other info out there?

found some great FB groups moderated by IEC and private consulting firms - have found better conversation there than here.

Figures as much:

High Point University admissions has an acceptance rate of 77% and an early acceptance rate of 84.8%. Half the applicants admitted to High Point University who submitted test scores have an SAT score between 1110 and 1300 or an ACT score of 23 and 31.

Well...where do you summer ?

+1000 OMG someone works that statement into EVERY thread on the College forum.

Honestly, all the random schools that still think it is a winning strategy to have a very high "rack" rate, but then give merit aid to everyone.

There are easily 1000+ colleges that don't need to exist and shouldn't.

I went to Yale and I kind of feel this way even as an alum!

Dook. Reasons are obvious.

Just to pile on Bucknell- can’t stand it because it’s where the girl who continually excluded me in elementary school went to college. She had a series of birthday parties where she invited everyone but me, and I could never figure out why.

High Point and Grand Canyon because I follow a few sports and somehow only their athletes creep into my Instagram feed. Both seem made-up.

Santa Clara because I live on the west coast and every try-hard real estate developer striver-type went there.

Notre Dame because a girl who thought she was my rival in HS went there. I associate it with people who are obsessed with other people’s SAT scores because that’s how she was.

Don't forget about Elon too. For that matter, the Bidens all went there as well...including current grand daughter.

Hahahaha, that says a lot! I assume you were not one of those kids coming from the top 1%.

You sound like you need to move on from petty childhood spats. Your elementary school tormentor who went to Bucknell is probably making seven figures on The Street, and there's a good chance your HS rival from Notre Dame is, too; meanwhile, you're on an anonymous forum lamenting things that happened decades ago.

This is fun!

Princeton - smart, arrogant, country-club types
Yale - smart, snobby and rich
Harvard - smart, obnoxious kids who think they’re the best thing that has ever happened to this world

And agree with UPenn - it has fallen in my eyes because of Trump
